Just got to Chapter 12 and have done almost all the major side content and side stories.
If I beeline it to the end how much longer do I have?
Decided to finally get into this series and started playing 0. Its pretty cool so far. Read somewhere, that the kiwamis are worse than the original 1 & 2, this true?
Not true at all
Is it just me or does every character in this game, no matter their age, have the most impeccable hairlines?

Hell no they on some bullshit whoever said that
Just finished 0, great experience throughout. Majima is straight up one of my favorite game characters. Gonna take a few weeks break before hitting up kiwami 1, dont wanna burnout.
Saw a dude that looked like Tomizawa on the train. He had the goatee and everything. Felt like going but that would be weird.
Lmao once you get to a certain part of the game
RGG absolutely lied that you should just start at 7, they pack so much nostalgia and old stuff in here that you just wouldn't be able to appreciate if you didn't play the rest of the games
are the yakuza games similar to FF?
Not really no. Characters in Yakuza talk at least somewhat like actual people.
FF is full on anime now. Awkwardness and all. .
Both series still have great things about them

More like dragon quest far as turn based combat goes
Story wise not at all like FF

I mean you can still get the gist of it even if you don’t know Kiryu’s whole backstory

Are you going bald?
Are you going bald?
No, just something I noticed because there are so many aging characters in this one especially.

Unrealistic male body standards

Arakawa's was falling back

For a few, but some are just from random old side quests
It'd be like walking 4 games deep into a Kojima game trying to piece it together, you're gonna be left clueless on some stuff

I remember there was one dude here who was starting with MGS4 and was like "I'm excited to jump in "
Alright good luck

lmao yeah, I'm new to FF, I played 16 which I liked a lot, it was full on anime, and then I played remake, and now rebirth, and that s*** is awkward as f*** lmao, but I like it, it has its charm. Like you said its like a campy anime.

aahh okey, I think I'm gonna try one of these soon.
I love the game as is and definitely believe it be one of, if not the best, games in the series, but is it just me or does it feel like this one is steeped in more needless exposition than usual for the series?
That’s consistently one of my biggest issues with the series is how many blandly presented cutscenes there are that just involve people standing or siting and just explaining every little detail of the entire plot of the story, every new character’s backstory, or more backstory of established (whether new or old) characters, often times reiterating on these details multiple times throughout the game.
Kojima does this often too, obviously, but the presentation and scene direction at least makes it more dynamic and interesting, whereabouts in this series, and this game especially, it kind of drags.

The others aren't turn based, besides 7
Those are action brawlers

Kojima has a higher budget for his, where reuse of assets is king for RGG. I think it's just an ingrained way of story telling or presentation for them at this point.
