Our brains are f***ed with constant stimulation from using our phones. When was the last time you day dreamed? When was the last time you were truly bored?
Do this detox for a week and you will reset your dopamine baseline. Normal everyday things like going for a walk, talking to people, exercise will feel better than ever.
unshackle yourself from the chains of social media and stimulation, go back to your nature, be free again like you were as a child.
i did most of these things as a child tho
And you also spake as a child and thought as a child - but now you are a man and therefore must put aside childish things: Corinthians 13:11, praise be to god and glory to god in the highest. And peace to his people on earth
Lamb of god, you take away the siiiiiiiiins of the earth, haaaaaaaaaaaave mercy on uuuuuuuusssssssssss
I'm bored while doing all those things you're telling me not to do.
Thats exactly the point of the detox. You have burned your dopamine baseline levels to the point where everything in life feels boring, yet you still do it habitually.
Your first couple times going through social media probably felt great, so you kept doing and doing it, to the point where it doesnt feel as good as it did the first time, thus you need to do it more just to get the same level of enjoyment.
social media is really evil my attention span is 0
Think about the young kids growing up who have ipads and all that s***, they have no idea what true boredom actually feels like since they can just watch shows or play games all the time. At least (most) of us grew up in a time without easy access to these things.
Im scared what this generation will grow up to be.
I think China, Korea and other asian countries have it right. They have limits on how much games young kids can play.
I would go crayz w my ADHD
Your ADHD might be caused by overstimulation ironically.
its borderline impossible to do that, i feel like our phones have just gonna part of us now and you'd need to get away from the internet to complete that detox.
add the fact that we're all going to be living in mark zuckerg's metaverse soon our attention spans really gonna be non-existence in the future.
still curious to try tho.

The realization that you can do without social media is a very powerful thing

honestly i feel like mindfulness is more popular in western culture than ever. especially in younger generations.
we'll see which one wins over in the long run

it is popular but i don't know many who practice it consistently.
still i don't think 10 mins of mindfulness is gonna be enough to counteract level of distraction we are in constantly being bombarded by stimuli from all angles.
only gonna get worse once virtual reality interfaces start becoming popular.

it is and getting off it is a healthy thing to do. but even if you get off social media there's always some other place your gonna get your dopamine fix from.
these apps are all designed to make us addicts and suck our attention as much as possible. crazy how much we are manipulated.

That's not how ADHD works lol
