I wanna get one too, but I'm scared asf of getting joycon drift on it. At least on the regular Switch you can just send in the controllers, but you're kinda SOL if your Lite starts drifting.
joy con drift is a definite deal breaker for a lite. I have a regular switch to mostly play Fire Emblem and Mario Kart it started drifting on my second playthrough of FE lol. cant imagine playing with a lite in which the joycon is not replaceable
Loved it when I got it for animal crossing, now I'm playing monster hunter and I wanna play on tv cuz my fingers hurt
If there was a way to at least cast the lite to your TV, I’d probably be more inclined but I understand why that wouldn’t even make sense from Nintendo’s point of view
one of my favourite systems of all time the form factor is just perfect. if you had to just pick one then the regular switch is definitely the way to go, but in an ideal world you can have one switch you keep docked and then use the Lite for handheld

also there are switch revision rumors, and they may likely happen, but at the very earliest, it won’t be until the end of this year
a lot of the components arent even going into production until the summer
And they will almost certainly be in a shortage before they even start shipping consoles
i bought one during the og switch drought last year and it’s nice
the eshop frame drops are disgusting though
was gonna buy the full system during the winter but the pro rumours got me holding out plus not using it as much now

Eshop is the same on the og switch lol
Debating trading in my current Switch (It's the V1) and getting a Switch Lite. After I gotta PS4 I hardly ever use my Switch on my TV. Might as well just cop the Switch Lite.
If you have an og switch you can mod it or sell it
its fire one of my favorite things nintendo has made haven't used it much since last july tho
I have an on and off again relationship with my switch.

might get back into it bought BOW but only played a little bit sort of hard to get into not gonna lie i have no idea what im doing
Yeah. Was my first Nintendo product since GBA SP. Serves its purpose with the games I wanted to play.
Just had 0 interest in playing Switch on a monitor and prefer pure handheld
honestly the switch lite is the perfect handheld better than switch imo for this sole reason.
It's light asf.
I have both, only really play handheld on the lite and leave the big one docked at all times. Just use the cloud save function when I need to play portable. I honestly prefer for casual games or just playing for a few I’ll play on lite but bigger releases like Zelda, Mario, Fire Emblem gets played on the TV
I hate using the switch in handheld mode and prefer playing on tv, but if you like handhelds then on you
Wouldn't really recommend getting a switch right now tho if switch pro rumors are true then prices should drop on the reg switch and the lite I'd imagine
If you already got a switch I don't really see the point tho? Idk what the size difference is but that sounds like the only real reason to get it if you already have the switch
