Trump was the frontrunner for most of the election cycle

Bernie is a 2nd choice for alot of Yang Gang yes but I truly believe Yang is going to shock many people in early states which will lead to a domino effect / surge. Obama didn’t surge till after Iowa either

Obama was a strong second place for most of the lead up, whereas yang is still behind a few other candidates

Yeah but the interesting thing I find it that Obama's campaign was basically the first in history to really utilize the internet where as Yang's campaign is very versed in internet marketing.

I'm not saying that Yang is GOING to win but I truly believe he has a good chance to shock the world, call me crazy...

ALso it's the biggest democratic field in history so gotta take that into account to

It being the biggest field is one thing, but the fact that he’s consistently behind even buttigieg and kloebechar doesn’t give much to work with. I mean it’s possible for him to pull some big upset win I guess, but nothing like that has happened in over 3 decades

Aside from this one poll, no he hasn’t. At best he’s tied with kloebechar a few times

I don’t even have much against yang, it’s just clear he’s not going to win. He’s polling too low and all the populists are riding with Bernie or something

Still, that's an impressive feat and a good sign considering the man had literally 0 name recognition at the start of last year. Idk man I feel like Yang is pulling a lot of disenfranchised voters as well as Republicans switching over to vote for him in the primary that a lot of the polls are not accounting for.

Especially if you consider that many apolitical Asian people in this country and probably gonna show out to vote for him for the first time in an election ever.

    The upset is coming

I hope so too but honestly I don't think he will unless the situation gets absolutely dire.

Asian Americans are not as large a voting block as Hispanic Americans and African Americans, who both tend to vote democrat in larger numbers. Even among internet people and millennials, his popularity is lower than Bernie’s. He’s kinda like how Ron Paul was in 2008, all these people on the internet talking about him yet 4th place when it comes to actual votes

I think if things don’t change and automation picks up, his platform will grow and he’ll gain a larger following.

If Bernie wasn’t in the race Yang would probably be in his place. Seems like the wrong time.

We'll see after Iowa and after Chappelle starts campaigning with him, I still have major hope but you make great and valid points to consider

It definitely will but Yang has stated before he doesn't really have interest in running again if he doesn't win but who knows right?

If you ask me Bernies time was 2016 and we should be voting Yang in NOW to get ahead of the problem (for damn once) but whatever people usually lag behind s*** anyway

He’s losing Iowa. To be honest if Bernie loses Iowa than Biden may really end up being the nominee

Kind of off topic but am I reading this wrong or does Trump seem threatened by Biden?

I mean there's a good chance any of those things could potentially happen. I could potentially see Yang, Bernie, Warren, OR Biden taking it tbh. That's why I find this all so interesting. There's a lot of variables not being taken into account by a lot of people which is stemming from the rise of the internet and the fall of main stream media's credibility in the eyes of voters.

Lol bro. Honestly let's be real, the only person Trump has to be worried about is Yang, someone who can actually debate him with facts and statistics. Bernie maybe could debate him because he's also an angry old man, but Biden and Warren would get stomped on

He’s threatened by him. That’s why he tried to get Ukraine to investigate him and pin him on corruption. He most likely believed (at least at the time) that Biden would be the nominee, and biden beats him in almost every poll by the largest margin of any other democratic candidate
