All yall lil niggas finish your dinner, eat some cookies with warm milk and getcha ass in ya beds
All yall old heads
Grab yuh drinks, grab ya smoke, kids is in bed, put ya 90’s s*** on and just vibe
what about middle age heads?
and mos def is like 80 what's your point 😭😭😭
Cute exaggeration but no...they both old
He comes across pretty salty in this clip which is sad to see. Very out of touch, ignorant, and salty.
There are rappers and rap artists far greater than Mos who show respect to Drake and acknowledge his art. That’s how it should be. Trying to go against the grain like this without any real criticism is a bad look.
Drake is too unique for real
I feel like it’s kind of wrong to fully box him out of hip hop lol like he’s done some good spitting. And his run is obviously the greatest
But if you really love hip hop then you should be able to see where Mos is coming from. It’s not an indictment on drake, he just played the pop game more than most. On one hand you’re going to get the success but the purist is never going to hold him high like that until Mos generation is gone. Just is what it is
He really hasn’t played the pop game more than most. He only has a handful of songs that are genuinely pop. Most of his big tracks just have mainstream appeal. He’s never hopped on a song with Taylor like Kendrick or any of the other pop girls. There are zero out and out pop songs on FATD

Actually that’s true you have a point. I should have said that he sings more than most. A lot of rap fans felt like FATD had too much singing from what I saw, I liked the album though. But it’s part of what makes this discussion happen because there’s not many out and out hip hop songs on FATD either

This is valid but he means the texture of his own music is more pop than rap/hip hop
It’s really a larger thing than drake and I hope this sparks a larger conversation

f*** this old head bullshit.
they would do the same if ppl listened to them as much as drake
How many times drake gotta prove he can outrap these old heads? people forget scary hours etc
No one said he can’t rap. The problem is what he raps about. Drake’s lyrics are most useful while you’re shopping.

I do dunny, and I’m raising all 6 of them on Wu Tang, Big Daddy Kane, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, LL Cool J, Jay Z, Nas, KRS One, Gangstar, Black Star, Dead Prez, Lupe Fiasco, Smif N Wessun, Queen Latifah
Looks like a YouTube npc comment 💀

If he raps about selling cocaine to his community or indulge in black plight p*** then he can then be hip hop
🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
And yet he and his fans still feel a void when people talk like Mos (or FATD pre Scary Hours reaction lol) even tho he also makes songs like Pop Style
Lol
just cuz you’ll let someone b**** you out doesn’t mean everyone else should

Drake being pop isn’t necessarily a diss or b****ing him out as much as it is commentary on the texture of his music and brand science
Drake let a man piss on him in a movie theater full of people and you’re using situations like this to live vicariously through him saying things like this online

Lol real s*** tho, real hip hop heads would never disrespect the OGS of the culture, its doesnt matter if your an old head or a young head, you wouldnt do it period.
So I’m sick and tired of all these kids/fans who aint even a part of MY culture disrespecting greats of MY culture.
If you dont carry a single element of hip hop in you then shut the f*** up and continue to be a fan, you aint allowed to have an opinion at Hip Hop’s table when it comes to the greats, you a f***in vulture.
I’m a hip hop musician that bleeds the culture, all you other pussies are fan boys at best, simps, and clowns, and stans, and groupies... go pick up a book or a mic then speak on MY culture!!!
