Yes and no. They’re both great in different ways.

I understand why especially yasiin bey of all people would feel this way. “Hip hop” has a very specific meaning to him.

But it’s just changed as it’s gotten more popular. Hip hop is pop now and Drake is pop but he’s also hip hop. There are people who don’t like what hip hop has become and that’s fair.

They’re both great rappers but yasiin bey is obviously hip hop in the OG sense. I think he wants to maintain that definition of it. But Drake being the poster child for people b****ing about hip hop is lame. Hip hop was this way well before Drake came along. If you’re going to take this issue with Drake you need to take it with basically every other big name mainstream rapper/hip hop artist over the last 25+ years.
