I'm starting to think people don't really dig into albums like that. Crazy to not see the theme on TLOP.
the theme is there, sure, at total face value. it's artistically bankrupt, completely devoid of any nuance. the theme is as deep as him telling us "hey this is the theme"

The album is unapologetically him, actually that is the most Ye album in his discography.
i thought you were done quoting me lil bro
I’m calling you lil bro because you’re piece of s***. Cheers!

i guess. not sure what that has to do with the art of storytelling or a theme

? at least make sense when you flap your cock suckers at me
Should I go to church and family or should I get arse
It's spelled out for you on the cover cmon now
get arse

The story telling is right there if you listen, like I don't really know what else to say on this.
If you don't like the album then cool
I'm talking back in 2013 when yeezus outsold him
He posted a tweet and mentioned different rappers and appreciated them for saving hiphop when yeezus was being criticised for not being hiphop enough and supposedly having bad raps.
Damn I don’t remember him dissing yet
Mac dropped best album that day anyway
All this talk about the best ye album when it's clearly Vultures 2, when looked at purely artisically/creatively
Vultures 1

yes the theme is there in face value. no nuance, no intricacy just him going guys its hard being famous also i love god and f***ing models, oh and im married and have kids now
i have repeatedly said i like the album. saying it was his worst album at the time still puts it at one of the best releases of that year. kanye standards were not the same as the rest of the rap games standards until he started releasing dogshit.
Has anyone ripped and tagged the individual songs for the 45 min version? It seems like it’s the album played twice in a different order with different versions of the songs

So what are we debating? That I said it was better than Yeezus?

please elaborate because to this day it feels like straight loosies
it's roughly structured into 3 acts where from the idyllic beginning (saint paul) he faces temptation (escobar) till the comedown where he confronts the results of his actions (tortured artist a la picasso)
plus its littered with dualities (ulb/wolves, fsmh, low lights/highlights, freestyle 4/i love kanye)
I hate the fact that Bully v1 actually sounds like a potentially fire album, but then again i can find solace in the fact that he will never properly finish this and i can eventually forget it existed
