Of course that's part of it, but I also think despite the fact that he's objectively become a worse rapper (generally weaker delivery the biggest change), kids who didn't even grow up listening to the old s*** are still drawn to his new (and old) music
Even after countless controversies that would've been nuclear death blows for any other artist, he still moves the needle. You can argue back and forth about quality and cohesiveness all you want, but at the end of the day, he stills creates experiences that people are enamored by and want to be a part of.
