Aight, here me out on this. I liked Ye when it came out but it didn't stick at all, last week I went back and revisited it and this album is aging like wine. On my personal copy (CD rip) I went ahead and added 3 leaks to the tracklist to round it off and it gave me a new appreciation for this album as a whole, been in ROTATION this week
For reference, my tracklist as it stands:
1. I Thought About Killing You2. Ecstasy (XTCY+Ecstasy OG+extended intro sample, personal edit)
3. Yikes4. Simulation Baptized (a really well mastered version someone posted a while back, can't remember where)
5. All Mine
6. Wouldn't Leave
7. No Mistakes
8. Ghost Town9. Brothers (version with Chris Stylez demo intro, beautiful track)
10. Violent Crimes
37 mins long.
23 minutes long
Wild era, really interesting project, worth a second look. I'm not gonna put any effort into defending this project because if people just don't like it I get it but its been great to revisit a year and a half later.
EDIT: I REDACT MY S*** ABOUT REORDERING/ADDING TO THIS ALBUM
RELEASE VERSION IS PERFECT
7 SONGS, NO FILLER, ALL KILLER
YEEZY DID IT AGAIN
Editing the tracklist to make it good =/= the album being good
tracklist was already good, I just added a few more tracks to lengthen it a bit. At what 7 tracks ~24 mins ye feels more like an EP, a pretty damn good one, but an EP. At 10 tracks 37 mins it feels like a proper album. It's a good body of work either way though.
To clarify, I'm not calling this album a masterpiece or comparable to a Yeezus/808s/MBDTF but it's certainly a fine project on it's own that documented an important point in Kanye's career/life.
I just wish it were a lot longer. Most of the time some albums could be shorter but Ye would benefit with longer songs and a longer track list. There isn’t a bad song on Ye but none of the songs really fit on the album. That’s another issue I have.
You can tell quality dipped with this album and with TLOP kinda. I miss when Kanye songs were climatic asf

send me dis
Album is bad, & it only came out two years ago or so so it shouldn't have "aged bad" yet lol.
Bottom 3 Kanye with only 2 or 3 songs good imo.
How to make ktt2 mad instantly:
1. LR
2. Grad
3. CD
4. ye
5. 808’s
6. MBDTF
7. TLOP
8. Yeezus
9. JIK
The guy is the f***ing GOAT, just this Jesus s*** is getting real boring to me. Other folks may love it!
The most influential artist of the 21st century nonetheless!
JIK is a 8/10.

Do you a link to the extra songs? Seems like brothers is erased from the internet
I will never understand why people say Pablo was a dip in quality that album is phenomenal
they arent spaced out well though, half the moments u mentioned occur in the first 4 tracks
MBDTF and yeezus got some climactic s*** going on in every track
