you had to make some edit for it to sound decent so how did it age well
It sounds good w/o the edits too, tbh the tracks I added are the weakest tracks on it I just wanted to throw a few more songs on.
I've started a provocative/dumbass thread on this site mom are you proud of me back to listening to Neil Young now
tracklist was already good, I just added a few more tracks to lengthen it a bit. At what 7 tracks ~24 mins ye feels more like an EP, a pretty damn good one, but an EP. At 10 tracks 37 mins it feels like a proper album. It's a good body of work either way though.
To clarify, I'm not calling this album a masterpiece or comparable to a Yeezus/808s/MBDTF but it's certainly a fine project on it's own that documented an important point in Kanye's career/life.
every point in kanye's career is an important one
How to make ktt2 mad instantly:
1. LR
2. Grad
3. CD
4. ye
5. 808’s
6. MBDTF
7. TLOP
8. Yeezus
9. JIK
top 2 objective tbh
An album with ITAKY Wouldn’t Leave (the two cheesiest ye songs) All Mine ( his most disgusting song) and a song where Kanye only wrote one bar (Violent Crimes) will always be trash by Kanye standards, it should have been scrapped and Ghost Town put on KSG instead
ghost town might b my fave ye song at this point like before it was top 3, then 2, n now i think im j fully with it
if him making the album in, reasonably lets say a month, its great
imagine u workin only a month on some s*** and u end up with Ghost Town
imagine 11 more months of strictly music
easy 9+ quality album
You can tell quality dipped with this album and with TLOP kinda. I miss when Kanye songs were climatic asf
The vocal samples on i thought about killing you are cinematic af
ghost town might b my fave ye song at this point like before it was top 3, then 2, n now i think im j fully with it
his ghost town performance at camp flog gnaw made me cry
Aight, here me out on this. I liked Ye when it came out but it didn't stick at all, last week I went back and revisited it and this album is aging like wine. On my personal copy (CD rip) I went ahead and added 3 leaks to the tracklist to round it off and it gave me a new appreciation for this album as a whole, been in ROTATION this week
For reference, my tracklist as it stands:
1. I Thought About Killing You2. Ecstasy (XTCY+Ecstasy OG+extended intro sample, personal edit)
3. Yikes4. Simulation Baptized (a really well mastered version someone posted a while back, can't remember where)
5. All Mine
6. Wouldn't Leave
7. No Mistakes
8. Ghost Town9. Brothers (version with Chris Stylez demo intro, beautiful track)
10. Violent Crimes
37 mins long.
23 minutes long
Wild era, really interesting project, worth a second look. I'm not gonna put any effort into defending this project because if people just don't like it I get it but its been great to revisit a year and a half later.
EDIT: I REDACT MY S*** ABOUT REORDERING/ADDING TO THIS ALBUM
RELEASE VERSION IS PERFECT
7 SONGS, NO FILLER, ALL KILLER
YEEZY DID IT AGAIN
