It’s crazy how this album cover has been the seesaw Kanye has been balancing on for the last 10 years
probably his last boundary pushing album, so much detail so much to unpack. I feel like the poor commercial reception to this probably contributed to the rushed, unfinished qualities of his later work

I thought it did really well commercially?
The tidal deal didn’t help though

nah he has a couple interviews where he says something to the effect of "Think about making something like Pablo, and you never hear it on the radio"

He didn’t get any radio play off this and the only songs that were popular like that were FSMH & Fade. I feel like almost everything that dropped after this was an attempt to generate radio plays and to attract younger listeners each time

yeah it was the 1-2 punch of early streaming specific rollouts/exclusivity deals + Everybody just torrented it after the MSG listening party

Idk why he cared radio was already on the way out at that point, FSMH, Fade and even Ultra Lightbeam were real hits regardless of radio

Ye thru JIK disprove this

He does get hung up on dumb s*** sometimes, who the f*** cares about dying radio when tlop was a f***ing slapper
Bruh I said almost for a reason
Idk I don’t hear many songs after TLOP that were clear radio reaches other than maybe I Love It and New Body which never came out lmao

Donda
DONDA 2
OUT NOW
The album with 50 songs?
Donda had like 3 more songs than Tlop, part 2 songs were just to give fans the cut verses
