Funny cuz Robert Eber is trash n s***ted on many films of its time that is amazing like The Thing n 2001

Ebert never s*** on 2001. His original 1968 review was a full 4 stars, he was one of the film's main champions.

Impossible task, i can't even make a fav of the decades list without mentioning at least 50-100 and i still feel like im leaving out classics

I can give you a bunch of directors that represent my personal taste though (and my personal fav films by them)

    • David Lynch (Mulholland Drive/Twin Peaks S3)
    • Wong Kar Wai (Fallen Angels/Happy Together)
    • Takashi Miike (Ichi The Killer/Gozu)
    • Gaspar Noé (Enter The Void/Climax)
    • Alejandro Jodorowsky (The Holy Mountain/Dance Of Reality)
    • Stanley Kubrick (2001/Clockwork Orange)
    • Shinya Tsukamoto (Tokyo Fist/Bullet Ballet)
    • Andrzej Zulawski (On The Silver Globe/Possession)
    • Martin Scorsese (Goodfellas/Casino)
    • Philippe Grandrieux (La Vie Nouvelle/Despite The Night)
    • Terrence Malick (Tree Of Life/Knight Of Cups)
    • Panos Cosmatos (Mandy/Beyond The Black Rainbow)
    • Jonathan Glazer (Sexy Beast/Under The Skin)
    • NWR (Only God Forgives/TOTDY)
    • Claire Denis (Beau Travail/High Life)

Some other favorite films not made by any director listed above are City Of God, La Haine, Brazil, Battle Royale etc etc

Expecting much from Julia Ducornau & Robert Eggers in terms of recently started auteur directors

Great list, these people are fools. And you're right, nobody is galking about Grandieux, Knight of Cups is massively underrated, etc.

    In no order:

    Saving Private Ryan

    Step Brothers

    Scarface

    OG Spider Man

    Mad Max Fury Road

    Evil Dead

    Toy Story 1 n 2

    Rush Hour 2

    Bruce Lee Enter the Dragon

    Mr Deeds

    Don't mess with the Zohan

    Happy Gilmore

    Next Friday or FAN

    Hateful 8

Sheesh there's lots more, but these are ones that I would sit down and watch at any point if I saw it on.

Naw I like long action movies, especially when they're QT styled.

Was relieved as f*** at like the 100th min and realized there's still like an hour left

this sounds plausible but whys he only mentioning it now

like this is probably a thought that just popped into his head recently

I could see him scheming up this story and bringing up his old song from back in the day to reinforce that it might have been his idea from the very start.

Then again, sounds like it could be plausible...

Someone needs to confirm it tbh

    Whom?

The legendary Takashi Miike, QT been sucking him off his whole career he wants to be him so bad

Pulp Fiction weird? lol what? It's one of the most famous movies of all time and highly acessible. It's not a difficult movie at all

It's mark left on pop culture is way bigger so seems like you have to face reality bro

Pulp fiction is avant gard dummy
it was literally something new and different/unconventional that people hadn’t seen before that’s why it made such an impact

Lmaooo Pulp Fiction is mad overrated in that sense, break down what Pulp Fiction did that makes it sooo avant-garde then

This the same thing as saying Drake was the first rapper to mix rapping with singing in the history of the genre

Convulated plot lines out of order where done before you know, if anything it was the first (if you don't want to count Reservoir Dogs) that really cemented QT's own flavor as an auteur of sorts

I ain't ever try to disrespect someone with king MAKAVELI in they name but you do have to realize that in the real world people don't use avant-garde to describe a f***in filmbro movie like Pulp Fiction
