Lmaooo Pulp Fiction is mad overrated in that sense, break down what Pulp Fiction did that makes it sooo avant-garde then

This the same thing as saying Drake was the first rapper to mix rapping with singing in the history of the genre

Convulated plot lines out of order where done before you know, if anything it was the first (if you don't want to count Reservoir Dogs) that really cemented QT's own flavor as an auteur of sorts

I ain't ever try to disrespect someone with king MAKAVELI in they name but you do have to realize that in the real world people don't use avant-garde to describe a f***in filmbro movie like Pulp Fiction

Pretty straight forward crime film that doesn't do anything too crazy on a technical level either. I don't want to sound like i'm bashing Pulp Fiction. It's great albeit a bit overrated. But who would describe that film as ''weird''? lol

Just wondering how you view stuff like The Holy Mountain by Jodorowsky then? What you think of Lynch at his most experimental with Inland Empire or the Asian extreme type films like Shinya Tsukamoto, Sion Sono or Takashi Miike made

If Pulp Fiction is weird, then you better be calling films like that cinematic relics straight out of planet Nibiru made by the Annunaki

Yeah just to clarify i didnt want it to either seem like a personal attack or come off as a pretentious snob but i honestly just dont view Pulp Fiction as weird. But i admit that i'm into some niche s*** as well so ig my defenition of weird is just different

Yeah, i tried to promote TF out of Mad God on here before, glad a lot of people are catching on. Great stuff

Jodo you either gonna love him or completely hate his work, don't think the Dune documentary is a good introduction tbh. I'd say just jump straight in the deep end and check Holy Mountain

As for Lynch, which ones have you seen and have you ever rewatched any of his? I remember a time when his films didn't click with me on first watches that ended up becoming all time favs for me. He really is a magician and master of atmosphere
