    ???

  • I'm 27. The past 5 years since college flew by so fast.

Those of you younger KTT posters still in school, take advantage of your friendships and relationships you have now because in the real adult world, it won't come by so easily unless you really get out there to connect with people.

Maybe if you're in a job you hate. That was me when i was working at 711 in HS. But i love my current career and time moves pretty quick for me since my job requires me always on the move and active

I get the whole "a year is a smaller portion of your life now" thing but i dont see how that would effect a persons perception of time

IMO its a combination of 1. experiences being newer and more stimulating on average when you were younger

    2. internet messing with peoples working memories, attention spans, etc. which subjectively speeds your days up

covid making all those things worse too

Apparently there's something with your metabolism too. It gets slower as you age, so time feels longer and slower when you're young. I remember going to school in the first grade at 8AM and the day ending before 1PM, but it still felt long af. Even high school which would end at like 3PM dragged. But now, it feels like I don't have enough time in the day and I'm not even 25 yet

Time isn’t actually going any faster. You’re just not living in the moment.

Imagine waking up everyday and anticipating something in the future everyday whether it be the next music release, movie, video game, whatever.

More you learn to appreciate the moment you’re in NOW time will start to regulate for you

i have a salary job where my work is measures by billable hours and its easy enough where i can hit my billable goals by noon and can chill for the rest of the day and do nothin. days still go by slow

the older we get, the less of a proportion an hour/week/day/year makes of our life. s***s only gonna keep moving faster from here on out
