Not innovating at all and not innovating at high frequency are two different things. Nike has no reason to be pushing the bar on it's classic silhouettes. That's why the biggest are usually collabs. Nike/JB are cemented. They already innovated and they still are, but they don't need to innovate for the sake of innovation.

Yeezy HAS to innovate because it's young and has to set itself apart and grow market share. Adidas Yeezy has like 10, maybe 15 total silhouettes, and only about a third of them could end up classics. Just like with jordans and nike, it's by cw too, not the silhouette itself. The only set yeezy classics aren't even adidas.

I understand your point and agree, but the classic Yeezys not being from Adidas is cap. The Nike Yeezy are classics based on their impact (even though i think they're ugly and already looks outdated) but so are the waverunners and 350's imo. Where I live i see more 350s then i see Jordan 1's (and no i'm not a fan of the 350's either). And there's not a single brand who haven't jumped on the dad shoe wave after Kanye dropped the waverunners.

And even though they don't have to focus that much on innovating since they already have classics selling well their design team still trash and haven't made a new good Jordan silhouette in God knows how many years.

You do know kanye isn't the creator of the dad shoe trend right? The fashion industry was already pushing that trend. He didn't start the trend, he just got out ahead of the other major houses. No adidas yeezy is classic, they aren't even that old yet and most follow phases/trends and you can tell when you look at his older ones.

Nobody calls all jordans classics. So again, new for the sake of new has and always will be dumb and pointless. Most of adidas new silhouettes aren't anything special either. Yeezy too. The ratio of good cw to silhouettes is just as small. I've seen yall say the v2, 500s and 700/700 v2s are classics, and thus far the only one still somewhat stylish outside it's trend, not just cause it's still being released in other colors, is the 700. Stop trying to compare brands' heavy hitters and then bring out nike's/jb/s whole collection to better your argument.

I've yet to see anyone that takes the time to say adidas/yeezy > nike, or make these threads, have the style to give their opinion much credibility. Just low tier hypebeast types, or niggas that wear skinny jeans with everything, or tuck their sweats

Wow amazing take mate, since I think Yeezy over Nike i must be a low tier hypebeast! But it's the exact opposite, the general consensus around hypebeasts is that Nike is the better brand and they hate on the new Yeezy silhouettes all the time.

Kanye 700s and Balenciagas is the most succesful dad shoes in the market, and it's def a classic amongst all dad shoes. U saying most of the new Yeezy silhouettes aren't special but he just dropped the 700 v3s and QNTMS which is definetly special compared to other shoes being released rn with a more futuristic vibe and he is def not following a trend.

And for the most part Kanye don't follow trends but makes them.

We aren't talking the most part. We're talking dad shoes. If anything he popularized it, but either way there were gonna be bulky shoes because of what designers were showing.

Qntms are a great sneaker but they don’t come close to touching jordan 1s yet which are one of the greatest sneakers of all time

Most yeezys, in general. Not just new ones. Yeezy slides aren't special lol. Not bad =/= special and interesting/different =/= special or different either. v3s and qntms are the only nice shoes and special shoes of those 4.

If u don't think the yeezy foam runners aint special then you're stupid, and I never told you i f***ing like them but they definetly don't look like anything else out there. And never did I say just because something is special does that make it good. For example the Gucci flashtrek sneakers looks special but i think they're ugly.

And just because something is special for it's time doesn't mean it can't be a classic. 808's and heartbreaks was special for it's time but that album contributed to shaping the mainstream sound of today and is still a classic album.
