I've been meaning to write up my review, but I got caught up this weekend. Also starting a watchalong rewatch with a friend who is viewing for the first time.

Shauna going crazy. I love it.

Kodiak is a goner next week. I hope Shauna gets the kill. Make it brutal. Maybe multiple gunshots cuz she keeps “missing”

Her saying “No!” at the end and look of pure anger and dominating control was masterful. She also had those patented s3 Shauna anger looks throughout.

Also really cool to see teen Shuanahat content. She was manipulating the f*** out of Melissa with ease.

Theory for last two episodes: based on the sneak peek for epi 9, Shauna is not giving the gun up after she took it from Nat. She does the aforementioned f\*\*\*ed up s\*\*\* to Kodiak, Lottie appeases her with wilderness approval but Shauna doesn’t care about that. Nat goes out that night to try to find the pick up point. Winter begins epi 10 and Nat is forced to come back to camp. Shauna fully installed Dictator AQ. F\*\*\*ed up s\*\*\* is happening. Maybe they do a hunt with the cards or maybe Shauna and Lottie just pick.

idk seems pretty gay to me

just marathoned thru all 8 episodes of this season, it’s still worth watching but idk how they stretching this story out 2 more seasons

also still relevant:

The creators have talked about the third timeline. Post rescue. My guess is they get rescued maybe halfway or 3/4th through next season and then they do post rescue with them reintegrating. That’ll close the loop to how we see Shauna go from “bisexual Stalin” to “boring housewife with an edge”

Oh, so the creators of the show are planning to stretch this to a season 5?

They wrote the show for 5 seasons since the pitch. Presumably, they are still on schedule with their plan and where we are now. tweaks were made with Juliette Lewis leaving the show, but its probably mainly still on track

Teen Shauna is one of the worst written tv characters I've ever seen, grossly unintelligent and wreckless

Epi was nuts. Shauna always gives verbal haymakers to people she’s in arguments with. Did it to Jackie in s1 and now Melissa.

This time I may do another write up. I’ll watch a few more times

I don’t understand the motivation for her to do that. Unless Lottie told her if you want to join in belief in the Wilderness, do this”. Besides that idk what reason she would have. I think it’s a sacrifice suicide

it may have been by accident or something escalated quickly and she thought she was protecting her mom but just the fact they keep saying "shauna's dna" it has to be her daughter. she's involved in what happened somehow at least
