Saw this tonight at Alamo with a livestreamed Q&A from the screening in Brooklyn. Enjoyed it a lot. Not the biggest Yorgos guy outside of Poor Things and some of The Favourite.
Plemons as Teddy Gatz turned out to be a pretty well-rounded and memorable character. I know he had a lot of buzz for the performance but the character itself was great as well.
Emma is amazing per usual. No notes.

Curious how this’ll do with the general audience.
is emma the best actor of her generation. can't think of anyone in her class whos done stuff as cool as the stuff she did in the curse, poor things, the favorite, birdman. and then even her big commercial plays like la la land have unbelievable acting from her in them. to me its her and robert patinson who have chosen the coolest roles and knocked them hugely out the park

honestly yeah, if JLaw didn’t take that break after Dark Phoenix bombing and sought out riskier roles her name could’ve be in the running. still nabbed an oscar tho
I don't remember a thing about Kinds of Kindness (im'a rewatch it) but this trailer
in
really?? not even that one scene??

idk about best actress but probably best filmography
when did she get super fine again
Did start strong tho and overall ok movie
Enjoyed this more than poor things that’s forsure
Just saw the 35mm version, pretty great. Jesse Plemons absolutely gives the best performance of his career and Emma Stone is great as usual. Score is also really good and definitely helps amplify the tension/anxiety present throughout. Ending will probably be just a bit divisive, but overall it's an enjoyable time. Doesn't entirely reach the high heights of YL's previous movies, but it still slots nicely into his filmography. 8.5/10
ending sucked, you could call it from a mile way
u shaved your head for this s***???

Too many people making horror but still want another one by him.
Killing of the Sacred Deer is sooo good.
