nah i genuinely hate this guys movies...

ive talked at length about this elsewhere, it makes me sick i genuinely wish i could f*** with his movies bc i left out but his way of directing his actors infuriates me and find the screenplays he uses/writes fall so flat

i'd like to think i'm pretty literate, maybe not in the direct influences he pulled from in killing of sacred deer, but still literate enough to engage with his kind of films.

despite this i just cannot for the life of me find his movies worth engaging with, i often get a headache trying to empathize, understand, or even feel any strong emotion negative or positive towards the characters of his films.

flat is the only word i can characterize his movies. and i dont really feel like giving pretty things or whatever its called a fair chance bc the idea its this deeply feminist piece of work is laughable. and jerrod carmichael is a token hack.
