Seeing how generations get more and more progressive, wouldnt be surprising if one or two generations down the line people start rejecting hip hop for misogyny or homophobia. They may talk about our fav artists the way we talk about older generations music like "fuck that dust it was made by racists" except now its "it was made by sexists". I think itll always be there for the target audience but thats whats gonna pull the genre from mainstream eventually and not make it socially acceptable anymore

  • Nah hip hop is here to stay.

Reject hip hop for what other genre?

Hip Hop has lasted as long as it has from staying versatile and absorbing elements of other genres to update for each era.

If everybody gets more progressive, then won't the rappers be getting more progressive too? They mostly have from my perspective, you don't really hear the type of s*** Nas and Jay Z were throwing at each other anymore. We even got popular gay rappers now.

But the fact is that most rap fans (most music fans to a degree) seem to not care what an artist does, whether it's beating their girl or killing their friends, n I don't think that's gon change soon.

    They exist though

Generation Alpha is the demographic cohort succeeding Generation Z. Researchers and popular media use the early 2010s as the starting birth year and the mid-2020s as ending birth years. Named after the first letter in the Greek alphabet, Generation Alpha is the first to be born entirely in the 21st century.

    Your name is "dummie" though

But honestly, I do agree. Eventually misogyny and this whole "flex/brag" s*** in hip-hop will end. It's just the way the younger kids view the world, s*** will keep changing as time goes on.

Eventually it will be seen as "fucked up" to rap about "banging hoes" and "counting stacks on her ass" and to be honest, I can't complain

As long as lyricists such as Lupe still exists, Hip-Hop will be alright.
