Every generation is full of young iconoclasts who s*** on what was once accepted as good. They're trying to create their own canons. One day kids will laugh at Kanye, Drake, Kendrick, etc and call them wack dust for old people. Happens to everything eventually. Sometimes it's accepted as cool again, sometimes it fades into history.

I don't think hip hop as a whole will be discarded, but just like rock today, the kids will make their own version of it that we'll think is trash.

Hip Hop ain’t just a music genre (even tho to most of y’all it is), it’s a lifestyle/culture that you’re born in. So no it won’t be rejected

yeah tbh kids are gonna be too busy digging hopelessly for groundwater and moving endlessly to avoid the fires to be worried about rap tunes.

It will happen. Especially around your late 20s/early 30s. I'm 27 now and i used to think just like you at 20-21, but it happens at some point to everybody as your music tastes solidify and life gets in the way.

  • Jul 28, 2021

white people always gonna follow black culture so no.

  • Jul 28, 2021

Didn’t Soundcloud rappers come out with that whole “I’ve never listened to Pac or Biggie” BS?
