You ever notice the racial bias in the media, they reinforce destructive racial stereotypes, where white celebrity abusers are coddled and celebrity abusers of color are vilified, all victims lose at the end. Now lets talk about the white entertainers that are never talked about for some odd reason. John Lennon openly admitted on countless of occasions he used to beat women, Ozzy Osborne tried to murder his wife and was arrested for it, Elvis Pressley (molester) when he was 24 dated a 14 year old that later became his wife, Tommy Lee woman beater, Sean Penn allegations that he was a woman beater, Mickey Rourke women beater, Leonardo Dicarpio is notorious for dating girls under the age of 25 but with Tyga he received an enormous amount of hate, stop the bullshit. This isn't a coincidence, We all make mistakes at the end of the day no one is perfect, so wake up !

You had people in that thread straight up saying they don’t care and they’ll still listen to his music but be the first ones to trash Tory over some allegations

And because he’s dead that it doesn’t matter.

Yet people don’t stop with the MJ talk.

I guarantee you that “the media” wasn’t talking about Tyga lmao are you on tmz or something?

The only black woman abuser that really got serious backlash was Chris Brown, and that’s because horrific pictures of Rihanna came to light. R. Kelly maintained his career like nothing happened at all for years when people openly knew he was f***ing with kids.

    That’s another thing that’s annoying

Just because it was the 60’s or 70’s it was fine.

    F*** outta here!

A grown 40 years old man f***ing a 14 years old girl is never fine. That’s not rockstar, that’s just f***ed!

  • There exists a double standard, however there really shouldn't be as it's much easier to just condemn abusive behavior regardless of the abuser's race.

Well you would think it should be easier but ya know

Chris Brown is such an obvious example of this

like dude is a piece of s***
but people act like hes the spawn of satan while ignoring plenty of white celebrities

I hate to defend Tory but people don’t be having the same energy across the board. They pick and choose what to accept based on who they like more. That’s a backwards way of thinking imo.

Do we not count dead people or is that something we should start addressing as well ?

well yeah we know now that it's not fine but stuff like that gets more overlooked the further back in time you go

Yep. I can’t speak for other races cause I’m not hip on them like that but this was a huge thing in the black community back then. Everyone kept quiet about that weirdo uncle but was quick to disown the gay family member. Those times were crazy.
