Black Twitter clowned Tyga for dating Kylie. Even Drake did.

Chris Brown is such an obvious example of this

like dude is a piece of s***
but people act like hes the spawn of satan while ignoring plenty of white celebrities

That was an incident between two of the hottest artists in the world at the time, of course it blew up.

What white artists got away with it in a similar situation?

I guarantee you that “the media” wasn’t talking about Tyga lmao are you on tmz or something?

The only black woman abuser that really got serious backlash was Chris Brown, and that’s because horrific pictures of Rihanna came to light. R. Kelly maintained his career like nothing happened at all for years when people openly knew he was f***ing with kids.

    Same w Kobe

I mean Johnny Depp to an extent - he wasn’t viewed as particularly egregious before the amber heard recording came out. Even so he’s lost court cases for claiming he didn’t abuse her and everyone is on his side

Dr Luke is a rapist and that doesn’t get a lot of attention

    John Lennon was an abuser

    Ozzy Osbourne was an abuser

Kevin Spacey doesn’t get it brought up often at all

    Elvis a paedophile

    Etc

My point isn’t that these guys got away w it it’s that Chris Brown is still regularly brought up as if he’s some especially terrible abuser while there are a ton of whites people who have done equivalently awful s*** that are never brought up in that context

I don’t think he’s an example of this cause at the end of the day he still has mad fans and supporters even in the industry. Yes he’s not making it to the Grammys (honestly that’s his fault cause his music fell off on that level after the Rihanna s***) but he still gets love

Someone like X is an example of this and it all boils down to the fact that he isn’t as accessible and attractive as Chris is. People cancel who they don’t like at the end of the day.

John Depp and Spacey have been all over the news and the rest of that is a mostly a bunch of rumors and claims from 40-50 years ago.

It’s just not really a double standard when the situation isn’t the same. Chris Brown and Rihanna were literally two of the most famous people on the planet when that happened in 2009 and the whole thing was very public. Obviously that gets more attention than Elvis f***ing a teenager in the 50’s. It’s not like people are dragging any ancient old black artist’s name through the dirt, which is what would be a more comparable example.

Chris got one of those temp cancelations. He's one of the biggest a******s in the industry and still has top 10 hits. He had to lay low for a bit, but it didn't really affect his pockets like that.

Kevin Spacey is DONE done. As he should be.

Some of these situations aren't really comparable.

All of these people are either dead or MIA.

You probably didn't understand the point that i was trying to make , but it's cool. Who are the main ones talking s*** about Bill Cosby, Tory Lanez, Michael Jackson and Chris Brown. The urban community talk down on them a lot , because of the brainwashing of the media. Compare to the white counterparts like Elvis ,you rarely see any type of hate come his way . Even though he was a pedophile , compared to MJ who was found not guilty in court still being bashed about that. His accusers came out and said they lied, even after his death.

They were on weintstein and Epstein ass heavy

Just depends on how many people speak out, how many people care, how relevant the person is. I never heard of girls coming out to metoo ozzy Osborne. Nobody checking for him in 2021

  • Jan 21, 2021

They got a whole Reddit command that posts a copypasta of the Chris Brown and Rihanna incident, yet no one ever points out how Roman Polanski is confirmed to have raped a 13-year-old girl but is still out here makin films n s***

The fact Kevin Spacey not in jail only proves this
