I think it’s still possible to play it safe and sound like others even if they were influenced by him
Idk I can’t say I ever wanted an album like SMF
I like what artists like Kendrick do where they’ll treat albums as a serious thing and then do the fun and trendy s*** through features so I was fine with thug doing that by doing feats and then pushing the genre with his albums
And like EBBTG, B6 and Jeffrey still are really fun projects. They’re just also more off the wall.
But at some point u have to sell music. That’s what he’s signed to do. And That music wasn’t selling so he switched it up.
He gave us more experimental s*** than damn near any other rapper ever. And that spawned a whole crop of new artist. He’s done enough so he can focus on making the most money he can now.
