Why are we expecting a white popstar to be involved in black issues?

Ones that owe nearly everything they have to black culture we should expect it

Was the blueprint for white artists using black culture and dipping when they get older.

    Done Janet dirty

    His greatest hits cook tho

agree with everything but Janet, she told him to stay quiet for his own career. i think that doesn’t get said enough, he was prepared to speak up for her. she said he asked her how she thinks he should proceed when it was all going down

20/20 the most overrated album ever, people hype it up so much as cope. It was clearly the beginning of the end

I don't think that really changes anything, her being supportive doesn't mean I or we have to

I think it speaks to “not defending her” it pretty much proves he would have defended her if not for respecting his friends wishes to not have the situation blow up even more

Like i said, i agree with everything, but the Janet thing has always been used against him when she said they are friends and he was following his friends wishes to protect his career

Wym "not defending her" who said this?

Why is them being friends or her being supportive, reasons why it shouldn't be used against him?

Also it was only Janet's career that suffered from this moment, while his thrived

Janet Jackson revealed that she spoke to Justin Timberlake just once after the infamous “wardrobe malfunction” incident at the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show, advising him to remain silent. In conversation with her brother Randy, Janet says: “We talked once. And he said, ‘I don’t know if I should come out and make a statement.’… And I said, ‘Listen… I don’t want any drama for you. They’re aiming all of this at me.’ So I said, ‘If I were you, I wouldn’t say anything.'” Jackson also said that Timberlake reached out to perform with her again at his 2018 performance at the Super Bowl halftime show. She said that while it would be nice, she didn’t want to have to relive the ordeal, and obliquely referenced her “history” with CBS. She also reaffirmed her friendship with Timberlake, saying they’ve “moved on.” Pitchfork has reached out to representatives for Timberlake for comment.

That is not Justin Timberlake’s fault

The backlash for that whole “incident” will always be one of the stupidest moments in the history of American pop culture

why would a young Justin Timberlake go against a veteran Janet Jackson’s advise on how to proceed for his career, as she says “all the heat is on me, it’s better to stay silent” ? Especially one that is his friend and he’s trying to respect by handling it how she would want, after offering to speak up

It quite literally is his fault, he caused it, let her suffer for it and became popular off the back of it.

Maybe take some accountability for your mistakes and not let your "friend" suffer even if it affects your career. Her being a veteran shouldn't mean anything.

But also could you answer the questions I asked, you still haven't bro.

that’s the definition of respecting someone’s wishes if you tell me to do something, out of respect for you, I’ll listen.

It was a wardrobe malfunction by way of planned choreography. She personally asked him not to speak publicly about it after it happened. The whole thing is a giant nothingburger. Y’all act like he sexually assaulted the woman on stage and she got canceled for it while nothing happened to him

Lol letting her career suffer after your f*** up is far more disrespectful, especially as she only said not to for the sake of his career.

They both put his career other hers when it was his fault.

Also why don't you want to answer my questions bro? 3 times now...

people getting offended for Janet towards Justin when her only issue is with CBS out of her own mouth
