I enjoyed Goodfellas, Godfather trilogy, the Irishman. Or at least appreciated them lol. But knowing that’s the best the genre has to offer, and knowing that I don’t love the movies, leads me to believe I would thoroughly dislike the lower offerings of the genre

Yeah honestly I only like those. Other ones I’ve seen aren’t as interesting character/plot wise.

Sopranos has some very good parts too tho. especially the therapist scenes.

I don’t like very many movies set after the 80s for some reason.

But honestly if you don’t enjoy the Good, the Bad and the Ugly I don’t understand how you enjoy any movies in general.

There’s some post 9/11 war movies that are pro-war.

Ex. American Sniper, Act of Valor, 13 Hours (and probably plenty more buried in the pits of streaming services)

These are my favorites, but I love Westerns, so you might hate all of them. But if you watch one make sure it’s Tombstone.

I agree but when films back in day in response to wars in the past like Vietnam and WW1 were anti-war though. In that case, All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) or Apocalypse Now

i hate war films but i love Inglorious Basterds, i hate westerns but i love Django Unchained

Quentin Tarantino tends to transcend genres.
