Why they disabled them in the first place
Idek, but it made absolutely no sense at all
Reading YouTube comments of songs is truly one of my favorite things to do in my free time. I love to see random people show appreciation and share anecdotal stuff

Interesting they can do this, but get rid of Dislike count
Not sure if you know about this already but you can DL a chrome app for youtube that shows the dislike bar under the videos
It's pretty neat

Oh yeah, I know that
was such a pointless move
im pretty sure it happened the same time they started disabling comments on videos with kids in it
but i agree nonetheless
Those comments should have never been restricted in the first place.
I believe they were trying to be more “official” or whatever, and Spotify and AM don’t have comments; but that doesn’t mean comments are bad.
Comments made YT Music stand out, and gave it a feature the others didn’t have, and imho it was much better for it

Same
YouTube comments are full of such weirdos and I love it lol
gone are the days of me having to go to unofficial uploads of a song a like to see people discussing it.
