Anecdotal but racists used to post ignorant s*** in a lot of Black artists' comment sections in the late 2000's/early 2010's.

I remember Wayne in particular drawing these racists.

It could be a totally different reason though.

    What is sample snitching

Exposing what sample is being used in the songs which leads to rappers/producers getting caught up and sued

Reading YouTube comments of songs is truly one of my favorite things to do in my free time. I love to see random people show appreciation and share anecdotal stuff

    Fact

Those comments should have never been restricted in the first place.
I believe they were trying to be more “official” or whatever, and Spotify and AM don’t have comments; but that doesn’t mean comments are bad.
Comments made YT Music stand out, and gave it a feature the others didn’t have, and imho it was much better for it

    Exactly
    If anything it’s an advantage

  • Dec 27, 2022

Niggas in this thread still taking YouTube music comments serious. We have twitter for that now

  • Dec 27, 2022

Always thought Spotify and Apple Music should allow comments. Would be cool to be able to throw comments and read comments on albums. The pages could become time capsules of albums, you’d be able to see what people thought when they first heard a track which would be kinda funny to look back on. I guess you still can on YouTube videos and things but having it right there on the streamers would just make the platforms more interactive and it seems like a simple thing to implement

    Unforgivable

Not sure if you know about this already but you can DL a chrome app for youtube that shows the dislike bar under the videos

    It's pretty neat

Oh I never downloaded this because I thought it wouldn't work for long
Might have to get that then

I luv comments cuz somewhere will always send your in the right direction to appreciating a track in a whole new unique way.

  • Dec 28, 2022

Why did they ever turn comments off for music? I get them turning off comments for kid shows and things like that, but never understood that with music.
