so let me run this down lovely sewer got turned into 90s workout music with a stranger things intro and a budget Diana Gordon feature that could be solange

Fear evil like fire got a random layer of drum n bass added to it (??) and went from one of their nastiest beats ever to a confused prince song remixed by amon tobin

Heaven surrounds us like a hood is mixed like a 2016 metro boomin beat with that generic fade in intro and horrible ass transition into switch

Operator and meteora were mixed on a DS lite and arranged in audacity

The other songs that are good are just okay

F*** being nice this is absolute dogSHIT. Have some standards this is playpen music, yves making worse music should not be what people are considering their best music. I guess once an artist get famous it’s really just over. That s***ty FKA twigs producer from Caprisongs f***ed up songs on here bad lol. Why work with these mainstream people and ruin your whole sonic aesthetic and for what? This bullshit?

Gotta give it another listen, tbh I completely forgot about it lol.

Was enjoyable though, loved some of the darkwave elements and it's an impressive body of work considering how long he's been making music for. Weyes song probably my fav but gotta revisit.

might be (just) just album of the year and the only time someone of his status (except for maybe scott walker) picked good collaborators. and even with their contributions moonstruck (nico's song) is the star

That's high praise, gotta give the whole album another listen.

The features are pretty solid, always been a fan of John's production, became a fan through Nico's discog. Desertshore being one of my fav albums oat.
