It feels like everything Ye does now is the result of him thinking that the world stopped when he got cancelled and everybody has been waiting for him to get uncancelled so we can consume the same s*** he was on when he got cancelled lol
In reality this is the first time in a long time that a lot of popular styles and aesthetics in fashion are pretty far removed from Ye and his influence.
The movers, shakers and tastemakers are no longer former Ye employees or extended Yeezy family
People simply moved on.
EEEEEEHhhh it kinda did for a large sub-culture of fashion followers. If you're into fashion before Ye it's always going to be there. For a lot of people who fell in love with Ye's design philosophy and school of fashion design that he created, there is a large gap left open in terms of what you enjoy with chunky silhouettes, distressed oversized pieces, and funky colors to nice pallets of earth and dark tones. Every other brand tried to imitate his run for the past decade, and they finally decided to let it go.

True Ye will always have die hard fans and I think he’s done an okay job of updating some of the silhouettes apparel wise.
On the footwear end though Yeezy has always been known for innovation and being ahead of/setting trends. I don’t see any of that anymore.
Those brands that were copying him wouldn’t stop if it was selling well.
IMO he’s doing much more interesting and less stale things with his Heels. I think we would see more of the old Yeezy hype and maybe even lines if he worked on getting those in stores somewhere.
