I mean they liked The Batman and Joker. They're not acting any different to how the general public acts when DC makes a boring or dogshit movie besides saying the Snyder movies were better.

No, but they're not worse than those fanbases. The difference is that we call Snyder fans a cult and toxic but congratulate and praise Denis and MCU fans who are far worse and have been more detrimental to cinema than Snyder fans ever have.

No they did not lol. I see constant hate from Snyder twitter accounts about those movies.

Also completely disagree with that. Denis has been on a fire run. MCU is ass now but I think most people agree and say that. Not sure where you’re seeing a ton of MCU praise at nowadays.

you say that but the Snyder cut of justice league is still the best thing to come from DC since Nolans Batmans. I appreciate that he is willing to do something new with a franchise rather than just give us the same s*** over and over again like Matt Reeves or Todd Phillips or Muschietti or James Gunn have been doing.

What other movie has Batman actually being more of a detective like in the newest movie? And that young of a Batman in his 2nd year?

The Rider is decent. Nomadland is absolutely atrocious and the attempts to defend Eternals makes me laugh

You can tell she watched a Sean Baker and a Malick and made The Rider... but she did that s***.

Never bothered to peep Nomadland or Eternals cause the word of mouth was so bad. That's kind of the MO for these directors though. Colin Treverrow made Safety Not Guaranteed and then trash. Jon Watts made Cop Car and then a bunch of commercial mid.

Idk if I’d go as far as saying there is a best version of him. Maybe the most tolerable version.

Lmao you really hate this dude huh

His main flaw when not writing is hid overuse of slo mo he def has gr8 visuals

It’s funny he is saying Batman is becoming irrelevant when he was in control of Batman and DC for the last decade. Like bro DC’s image is dying because of YOUR movies.

I see many Snyder fans praise those movies. If anything they bring up how Snyder himself has praised those movies lol.

Denis has no substance or style as a filmmaker. His films feel like if you told ChatGPT to generate a story that combined elements of Kubrick, Nolan, and Fincher. He has no personality himself. That's my issue with his filmography because he gets praised like he is some cinematic master but there isn't anything in his films that make you watch them and think "yup this is a Denis Villenueve film". Also quite frankly, most of his films aren't half as good as his fans pretend they are.

And I think the MCU has been s*** since 2009. A couple tolerable ones but they contributed to the death of cinema and I was calling that out the whole time while its fans and critics kept glazing it and now we're in this absolute s***hole of a time in cinema thanks to the MCU's success.

We've seen Batman being a detective before. In the cartoons, and theres elements of him being a detective in the Burton and Nolan films as well. Reeves just focused in on it as a whole movie (and quite frankly, the results are cringe. Catwoman walking around the club talking to strangers saying "oh really? tell me more" and they just tell her is so stupid and don't even get me started on the El Rata Altada bullshit). Reeves did nothing new with the lore of Batman. Why can't cinema make up new iterations of beloved characters? There's like a million comic books that re invent characters. But people wanna get mad at Snyder for making a Batman that has lost his way and is killing.

to me thats not interesting. It's fine to have influences but if you don't have your own style, I don't care about your cinema.

Safety not Guaranteed and Cop Car were both just decent indie flicks also. But yeah they're both awful as well.

There are some who pretend to enjoy everything Snyder does yeah. But if you insult Snyder’s films guess what they first start hating on instead of defending the Snyder movies…

Absolutely disagree. His films definitely have their own feel. I’m glad we disagree tbh I would feel concerned if I agreed with you.

I think there’s still tons of amazing movies coming out now. I don’t even know what marvel movies drop this year tbh there might be like 2.

That is the same behavior you will see with Denis fans who think the guy is the next Kubrick and that his competition are feeble losers.

I'd say the only amazing movie to be produced by Hollywood last year was Oppenheimer.

My other favorites were international or came from outsider studios (Godzilla Minue One, Ferrari, and Fallen Leaves)

Hollywood has maybe produced 2-3 great films this decade. And they're from old men.

I mean I haven’t seen Denis fans try to boycott other scifi movies or beg for an extended cut of them because the releases version was so ass.

  • Just because I pushed play on Rebel Moon doesn't mean I would get my ass up and go to the theater to watch.

well yeah because critics and mainstream media glazes Denis also so he doesn't ever get f***ed over by the studios to the point where he needs to put out an extended cut.

I was being kind of a hyperbolic. Baker telling working class stories with non-actors should be done more in general tbh. We need more The Riders.

Yeah, Cop Car and Safety Not Guaranteed were good on their own terms. I'd say 1/3 of those Spider Man movies were. Jurassic World was so bad I skipped the other two.

Still manages to ruin it with his same old Snyder shenanigans lmao. The guy can’t help himself and knows exactly how obsessed his freak fans are with him.

We’ll probably hear of Rebel Moon 2 having a glorious 13-hour R-rated version before it’s even officially out

I think he joined Netflix to continue to get big budgets after a string of flops (probably why Scorsese has been running to Apple and Netflix as well after Silence). Netflix isn't going to release a 6 hour directors cut of Rebel Moon to the theaters lol but I don't think he could get original IP made in the studio system either. Only Nolan and Cameron really have that ability to do so.

Netflix announced the Snyder cuts of part 1 and 2 before even releasing part 1

They signed him to use his Snyder cut gimmick for double views lol
