    Fam 2000s had
    Best of Jay
    Best of Ye
    Best of Wayne
    Best of Tip
    Best of Jeezy
    Best of Outkast
    Best of Dipset
    Best of G-unit
    Best of Game
    Best of lupe
    Best of Eminem
    Chronic 2001
    Best of Neptune’s
    Best of Clipse

& that’s just barely scratching the surface

2001 came out in 1999 my man. Jay and Ye are arguable because they had arguably their best record drop in the 90s and 2010s respectively. Outkast is also debatable.

Idk I'd have to do a deeper dive to decide that though. First inclination would give the 2000s the edge but I think it's close.

    Goo

The Grammys were never an indication of anything.

I'd argue it was an indication of where the music scene and sales were at the time and what was being played. That Evanescence album sold nearly as much as GRODT. S*** was everywhere too.

Truth. S***ty alt rock and awful pop music dominated the music scene in the 2000s. Evenescence beat out 50 Cent for best new artist when GRODT dropped. Maroon 5 over Kanye the next year.

Southern Hip-Hop and NY/Midwest were the only artists saving that decade of music.

Hip-hop and R&B also dominated the scene. Especially the mid 2000s, that's why you had so many pop stars going urban. Britney, Justin, Gwen, Christina, etc

    Also 2000s > 2010s

Hip-Hop actually did better than I remembered. It was mostly just Eminem, 50, and Nelly though. Granted, I never gave a s*** about sales growing up, especially since Hip-Hop was still at best the third most popular genre in the 2000s, possibly fourth.

I remember niggas use to rock an over sized under shirt and have the over shirt smaller so their undershirt would be hanging we had some questionable fashion trends coming up

Mf I was hot during this s***, but I had to be fly. Them 5 for 10$ plain tees from the bodega, the white tees a size up so you can see the sleeves and then whatever colored shirt

nearly every sound introduced in the 2000’s that wasn’t from Pharrell Timbo or Ye either fell off, was done better in the 90’s, or was done better in the 2010’s

the only outlier is wayne but wayne is an outlier to the game same way messi is removed from soccer statistics

A lot of hip hop music in the 2010s is starting to age terribly, a bunch of songs throughout that decade are starting to not become memorable at all.
