How many sets?
Wall push ups with a step incline for a week doing 100 per day. Then move to a chair with your hands on the chair for 5 days. Then move to the floor with knees on the floor for 5 days. Then attempt 10 straight push ups.
This is if you're not over weight/obese, but instead just skinny with no strength training

Then Add more padded time as you see fit with the workouts I listed above. Research on workouts you can do to shed pounds and a good diet to help even more.

Did this for a while at the beginning of the pandemic, but fell off. You really do get results quick. Was able to do sets of 50-60 at my peak. Add me to @op i gotta get back on my s***.
