This is why they need more education and more training. It’s situations like this where no matter what option you pick you might be in the wrong. They gotta learn how to handle these.
Obviously if it’s me about to get stabbed I’m hoping they shoot the assailant. I ain’t tryna die. But from the outside looking in we see all the other options yet still can’t say for sure what the right thing to do is

IceTrainCop did nothing wrong and it’s been f*** 12 my entire life. We gotta stop acting on emotion with these hashtags and trends. Ole girl was .2 seconds away from being a murderer and she clearly ran up on the girl so no I don’t have sympathy. I only have sympathy for the black people falling for white liberal media traps that sensationalize these deaths for ratings which causes more tribalism amongst Americans. I mean at this point we can’t be defending ANYTHING just because a police officer is involved.

Ok, if that's true then I stand corrected. But that's only applicable to an extreme scenario where other options arent available (which wasnt the case here)

Shooting her in the leg falls under training. Idk how many cops out there are gonna be able to make a split second decision with someone else’s life in the balance and accurately pop someone in the leg like John wick
And the legs is one of the worst possible places to be shot because of the large blood vessels. We would have to train cops to shoot people in the ass, hands, and feet for the safest “lethal” takedowns
Either way it all falls under training. They should be having film sessions where they review body can footage like this. They need more scenarios, more education, more time at ranges. They gotta get better

Fam they really didn't even have to shoot at anyone. Cops don't know how to fire warning shots no more? It's a group of 13-16 year old girls. Granted, one is wielding a knife to defend herself so that gets to be a messy situation, but I refuse to believe that this could not be handled without shooting at somebody.
Tasers, pepper spray, firing a warning shot, s*** just tackling and making arrests. A variety of ways to handle this. Cops can't stop a group of teenagers now? Four shots to the chest of a 15 year old in about 8-10 seconds of arriving on the scene just shows these cops had no desire to do the right thing. They were looking to kill somebody.

I was on Resetera and there were legit people saying the girl should have just taken the stabbing because she probably would have survived.
These are f***ing kids dude, in high school, not grown ass adults in a back alley. Even if she instigated the fight, no high school brawl ends up with someone dying.
The “Blue Lives Matter” s*** is sick though, and any officer that participated on that should be fired on the spot.

Damn, not defending the coo but this is justified tbh. The moment she saw the cops arrive she should have chilled. By this video she seems to be the aggressor regardless of the other girls coming to her house to fight her.
Potentially the cop could have used a taser but may not have necessarily stopped the girl immediately from stabbing the other girl.
This whole situation is sad all around and could have been easily avoided. Since she called the cops she should have stayed inside. Why are you going outside with a weapon.
