Didnt know south asians hate crime increased got links actually curious
can dm if you follow back
In what way am I a f***ing a******* you f***ing toddler, I was kind enough to ask you for your reasoning and you start f***ing crying about how I can’t f***ing understand well then make me f***ing understand nigga
nah not having any sort of convo with you lol
But the thing is this isn't a hate crime it was just a crime. Hence why the race aspect is so unnecessary especially using the race identifier of "asian" when the term isn't used to identify south asians often in america
see my response to CLB frenchpress
Anyone continuously bothered about the anti asian violence being framed as a black vs asian one?
Anyone continuously bothered about the anti asian violence being framed as a black vs asian one?
Especially when way more white people commit violent crimes against them

No you haven’t
Maybe if you continue on with your racists ass confirmation ass bias ass statistics I might! Then I can continue invalidating others experiences!

I seen it and this incident is still not a hate crime. And as other said hate crime towards asian isn't really extended to south asian due to the fact that most americans are ignorant to the fact that they're asian.
And no it wouldn't be alright if they said Indian man either and they didn't cause its media framing for black and asian tension
If you ain’t black you ain’t experienced more racism than Us. Period.
Why do you think it's a competition? Trump definitely made Covid a campaign to send his cult after Asian Americans
my confusion is this
1. why is it being assumed that the anti-asian sentiment has not also affected south asians? there have literally been spikes in hate crimes against that demographic recently as well, for a number of reasons
2. would it be okay if the post said "indian man" or something to that effect? is this purely just an issue of semantics?
and to me a hate crime against an indian person WOULD be relevant to the broader issue of racism against asian people, for a couple reasons. not only what I stated above but also because there are historical interdependencies between asian demographics and their experiences in America that many people are just ignorant about

their experiences in America that many people are just ignorant about
this is exactly my point. there are some people who think of "Asian" every time they see someone who's Asian and not chinese/japanese/korean. there are many more that only see someone and think of "Asian" if they're one of those groups. n like i said, tweeter dude knew this -- that's the argument from earlier
is this purely just an issue of semantics?
it's an issue of literal definitions vs public definitions of words. when you say "issue of semantics" idk what you mean because that's a whole ass field and it has many issues
anyway, this guy's reporting on a situation while intentionally using an unintuitive and less specific descriptor because it's going to give him more interactions and buzz, and controversy i guess. in a way, you could say he's marketing the story, but even in the most positive light it's still poor reporting for being purposefully vague
Also i think it’s time we address the tension between black and asian community more broadly
In the US east asians particularly are known for opening businesses in black areas while remaining some of the, if not the most anti black non white group!
I’m offspring of immigrants of black descent and it blows me any group recent to this country can be anti African American. Like we literally wouldn’t be able to be and thrive in this country if not for the civil rights movement
And also let’s just be frank as a group, Generally, emphasis on generally east asians have tried to tie themselves to white structures and hierarchies
Like bro I promise you US imperialism and anti china rhetoric is a bigger issue than some poor hoodlums who happen to be black attacking some asian elders. Which again is absolutely abhorrent but not root or representative of the problem
I watched those US presidential debates, the way both parties fear monger against china Is it any secret tht hate would be cultivated against asian Americans with rhetoric like that
so widespread??? Same s*** has been happening since ww2 and japan. It’s just sad to me a lot of our asian brothers and sisters instead of joining to combat US empire have bought into the anti black narratives

why would it not be alright exactly? the tweet doesnt say black people
so if people were going to construct racist and inaccurate narratives based upon their own research then it wouldnt matter whether you included "indian" or not
and last question, does that mean you don't want the race of a victim to ever be mentioned unless it fits your barometer for a hate crime?
to me a hate crime against an indian person WOULD be relevant to the broader issue of racism against asian people,

agree that the tweeter is pushing a harmful narrative that I'm not endorsing. im more so confused by the broader implication of what you guys are telling me
am I right in assuming that you take issue with this specific conflation of "asian" and "south asian/indian/whatever" due to the context surrounding it, but have no problem with a tweet that directly uses "south asian/indian/whatever"?
Why do you think it's a competition? Trump definitely made Covid a campaign to send his cult after Asian Americans
You’re a f***ing idiot, black people have been the most oppressed humans on this earth For centuries, not a competition it’s fact.
I can’t be f***ing asked to talk with you f***ing idiots who think noting our oppression is a competition
Y’all should really look at yourselves and see a situation that we’re in, there’s a f***ing reason why the Asian income is much higher than the Black income and it ain’t cause of “hard work”
Why do you think it's a competition? Trump definitely made Covid a campaign to send his cult after Asian Americans
Also this man was indian so what the f***
US is the only country that considers Indians asian broadly lol. In the rest of the world it’s split between south and east asian so how the f*** does this even fit the narrative????
Last i check the anti-corona ignorant backlash and anti-China rhetoric doesn’t apply to f***ing INDIANS
Reading hate inc by matt taibbi and manufactured consent by chomsky is the most red pill experience
Every day im convinced US media is the most malignant force out there, literally tearing apart social fabrics becuase of clicks and ratings
