Hoping to do the same next year
38,000 a year. Not including taxes.
No. If you’re single and younger yes, but past 30 that s*** will get old.
how you 30+ with a partner/kids still working minimum wage lmao my point is that people want even more what is the standard for it to be enough? 25? 30?
from a sociology perspective this seems to be more about not letting people fail. if you are always getting paid 20+ unless you make a major f*** up, you're set
Everyone saying $20 USD aint s*** what are you doing and how much are you making per hour
I make 32000 and being single at home. I still have to live frugally to afford enough money to have a back up savings and enough to pay 6 months rent for myself.
This is cause of a damn truck payment that my parents lobbed to me.
Matter of fact I have to shell out 4k for braces myself otherwise I have to deal with lock jaw since my teeth are shifting since I yanked out my wisdom teeth last year
It'll take me years to get to a good first 100k
also that lady lives in florida
20 is deff enough i don't even think they pay state taxes

Lots of a parents work minimum wage jobs for various reasons. It's way too common to simply blame it on the worker. Someone gots to be a burger flipper or janitor or yall complaining about no damn workers being on shift
Nah should be more like $40 an hour
With 20hr work weeks being standard.
Part of the reason these niggas dont raise wages is cause of hours. What we really should be fighting for is normalizing less hours more pay. America is efficient enough to have only a 4 day work week
Well, no matter what the minimum wage is, other prices will rise to compensate.
My thinking is get a better job

It’s much easier to increase the value you bring rather than upend the entire system.
Invest in yourself and it will pay dividends
Min wage in most western countries is decided by economists not political parties
Where i stay min wage is $13.10/hr and u can literally pay rent and eat off that so it fits the bill
But in toronto for example they play more american politics there so it’s only $14.10 when w rent prices it should be atleast $18
What would minimum wage be if it scaled with productivity? Probably much more than $20
Exactly
Theyre lucky people are just wanting to scale it to whats literally just enough to hv housing and food
Everyone saying $20 USD aint s*** what are you doing and how much are you making per hour
CA KTTers have to make more than that as a matter of survival

this isnt true
Where the hell you livin' and how bad are you with money?
I live in the most expensive state in the US, we have a kid and we pay a mortgage that's probably higher than your rent and still save money and do stuff and eat out all the time.
In cali you cant even live in a meth heads garage wit 20 an hour unless y bunker wit 5 other men.
in n out employees make 18.50 an hour base where I live
People wanna coast through school/first 20 years of their life and expect to get paid for doing bullshit work, that's not how it works. Nobody owes you s***
“just get a better job”
1) everyone deserves a living wage no matter what
2) you’re gonna complain when no one is there to serve your food, stock your groceries and deliver your online shopping bc they went and got “better jobs”
20 an hour sounds good to me all these jobs talkin bout you need a bachelors just to get paid 14-16 an hour f*** outta here
Yeah the point is those jobs are underpaying too
Imagine working a bullshit job and thinking it's disrespectful you're getting paid $20 an hour. Making $20 an hour puts you in the top 2.4% of the world

Americans have no idea how good they have it relative to the rest of the world. Got an iPhone 11 pro and no education

They should make more. That job is pure pain.
