They’re still classics they just aged bad

Like I’m sure as s*** not gonna listen to MMLP in my spare time now

Not as good as TES imo but it has Stan which is also better than any rap song in the last 3, 4, 5, 6,7+ years? and literally created one of the most common words in rap culture. Top 15 rap song ever. There are no top 15 rap songs ever dropping this decade unless you count R&Bish tracks like Runaway imo so if that album is a negative then the 10s are really really trash lol

  • Sep 18, 2020

Matter of fact just google "best songs of the 2000s" and "best songs of the 2010s" lol the 2000s list is so superior its not even funny lol

Some of the biggest artists of the 2010s were better in the 2000s too.

for the first 6 years of the 2010s kanye was one of the biggest rappers but he was better in the 2000s. taylor ran pop but was lowkey better in the 2000s. People talked about Beyonce a lot too but i think she put out her most classic songs in the 2000s as well

Taylor was better in 2010’s and so was pop

The 2000s had MUCH higher highs. But the lows is what makes the 2010s better. If we're doing like a top 20 hits/album, the 2000s. But if we're speaking in general, then the 2010s cuz everything was more consistent and it was pretty good actually

Honestly my initial thing about the 10s was when I thought it was just as a whole

    Rap specific it’s definitely closer

Im still taking 05-15 over either though

not really, this was her pop decade and her best pop album was carried by Max Martin who if we looked at the songs was probably better in the 2000s too lol. as a whole package tho i think taylor did all the things she's good at better and more in the 2000s.

Lol it’s already cheating cause if you count 05 and 15 it’s 11

    But shhhh

Jadakiss, Missy Elliot, Snoop was still dropping fire(Drop It Like Its Hot and Beautiful ) Ying Yang Twins even the party rap was better in the 2000s. And the 10s are basically a decade where rap has only produced party music, for the most part. Hell if you take away Kendrick and Cole the mainstream rap of the 10s is all party music lol

If we include R&B and pop, 2000s s***s on, flushes down the toilet, grabs it out the pipes, chokes, bodyslams, and then kicks the 2010s in its throat.

I'm not even tryna be funny, but what albums are touching TEOM? Diary of Alicia Keys? The Breakthrough? TP-2.com? Aaliyah? 8701? Songs in A Minor? CONFESSIONS?!

Then the very same people making those classics back to back in the 2000s dropped in quality in the 2010s tho

as the 2010s went on tho rap crushed every other genre more and more. the 2000s was more equal between highs from different genres imo
