2000s was good but it wasnt the decade where I fully dived into music
2010s I was introduced to mixtapes, forum discussion and it felt a lot more immersive (maybe cause I was just hitting puberty in the 2010s? music definitley started sounding different to me) I learnt about different types of production, lyricism and writing, styles and aesthetics.
It was good to be a music head in this time especially during the early 2010s

Sep 18, 2020·edited2010s easily and I grew up in the 00s. I got into hip hop in 2006 and not much new outside of Kanye, Lupe and Wayne really grabbed my attention like that. I was too busy discovering the classics. By 2010-2011, the underground was flourishing and it was a great time to be a hip hop fan. It pretty much ran the decade after that.

beast444The 2000s had MUCH higher highs. But the lows is what makes the 2010s better. If we're doing like a top 20 hits/album, the 2000s. But if we're speaking in general, then the 2010s cuz everything was more consistent and it was pretty good actually
