kendrick is a stretch lol, not saying there is no inpiration but he doesn't even put that much emphasis on complex rhymes like that lmao... nicki I can see, kendrick is mostly influenced by wayne and andre
but for eminem as a whole he didn't really create a wave, he was too uniquely skilled and charismatic in what he did to influence hip-hop in a way that was easily replicable
Kendrick would probably tell you himself how Em is in influence
Cash Cobain has done amazing things in regards to drill production and song making that I don't see him get enough credit for.
Son made drill music that I actually would love to hear in the club.
The production is dope but him as a rapper ehhh we need better rappers on their type of beats is all imma say. Not just niggas who let the best carry them
This guy just said Luther sounds like Taylor swift. He might have worms for brains
thread is dedicated to this type of nigga

You right but it’s some classics on here
I’ll never forget when Goretex was arguing with me that Views was a legit concept album
It was an ATTEMPT at a concept that got abandoned halfway through the tracklist
how is it yall always end up with my d*** in yalls mouth f***ing dorks

Some of the most fresh creative energy we’ve had in hip hop for a while.
What albums are these
You right but it’s some classics on here
Obama was a great speaker :vlosereave: we must stay focused brother. the joke stands lmao
that era of rap was gta 5
its taking longer for the next generation to come because of that, its that simple
Kendrick would probably tell you himself how Em is in influence
kendrick is inspired by eminem among many others, he is mainly influenced by wayne and andre though, he doesn't sound like eminem at all.... eminem did not create a wave of similar sounding mcs
also the original argument that the marshall mathers lp ruined hip hop is ridiculous, even if kendrick were an eminem offspring (which he clearly isn't) that argument would still be dumb, especially when y'all name kendrick as the prime example lmao
What albums are these
Paris Texas
1 album and 2 EP’s

Before the pop out he made it a point to play Eminem, Wayne, Andre 3k and Pac because they are the four artists who influenced him the most
Just Ye tbh as good as Kendrick is/was--prime Kanye had it all. Real hits/timeless classics, real classic critically acclaimed albums, huge popularity, huge influence, GOAT performances, GOAT videos, GOAT rollouts. There was only one Ye
She lowkey changed half of her fanbase with that anxiety track and feature with Jennie. Hopefully she stays true with this ep's style moving forward. She had a great feature with Westside Gunn
!https://youtu.be/ss1UsQ0jWt0?si=GSN2QPUCwlzR1znsI don’t really get this take.. not that I’m such an avid listener but from my time researching her music around the time it was rumored she got signed and after she always made a variety of music and different sounds.
Plus if I’m mistaken wasn’t the anxiety song an old song /freestyle she just reworked and released? I thought that was the lore behind it.
I get that sometimes having such a big popular record can polarize certain fans but I really don’t see her fanbase as so “hip hop”

Yea it’s a lazy take anxiety is years old

Kendrick doesn't have real classic and critically acclaimed albums?

Sounds like you’re literally describing Kendrick
Kendrick doesn't have real classic and critically acclaimed albums?
Thats one of 7 things I mentioned lol
Some of the pop hits on there are cheesy but it’s way better than Morale to me and a cut above GNX imho
Only song I didn’t rock wit much was Humble after it got a bit overplayed. But it’s an effective “pop” album from Kendrick. He showed niggas he still had that hit bag if he wanted to.
Plus it’s so many great songs on there that are authentic to Kendrick. It’s not a perfect album but overall I think it’s one of his best. And I wasn’t someone so high on it in compared to his previous joints when it dropped. But 2020 changed my feeling towards it.
Sounds like you’re literally describing Kendrick
Kendrick at no point has been anywhere close to Kanye in his prime, popularity wise. Plus his hit records are nowhere close to Kanye's hit records. But thats not a bad thing--Kanye's hits are in the top top tier. Only Pac, Dre and BIG can f*** with him in that category
Before the pop out he made it a point to play Eminem, Wayne, Andre 3k and Pac because they are the four artists who influenced him the most
kendrick is clearly influenced a lot more by wayne, andre and pac than eminem, even if he took inspiration from eminem he is not an offspring
also tyler was influenced more by subject matter and edginess than style, nicki might be the only true eminem offspring
sooo first of all... how is that a wave? and second, how are three of the greatest hip hop artists of the 21st century ruining hip hop?
