f*** gnx, that s*** trash
Not trash, just average for Kendrick's standards but still good.
It's way better than GNX and on par with Morale
Think it’s better than both albums honestly

I respect that even though I thought some individual tracks were borderline trash, I didn't go back to the album since it dropped and I liked mr morale and loved damn, gnx easily his worst
Nah.
Maybe because GNX is newer but nothing on that album comes close to the best tracks off damn.
How is an album with
FEAR
DUCKWORTH
PRIDE
FEEL
XXX
His worst project? I’m taking that run over GNX/Morale most days lol
I ain't care much for it, but on my first three listens I'd say this was a very creative hip-hop album

Again. Nah.

Yeah I got it as his worst too tbh, I still like it though. Reincarnated is top tier.
I know ppl hate on that song religiously but god. one of my favorite kendrick tracks, the damn. equivalent of drunk and hot girls
Pretty creative ass hip-hop album to me
This dropping with a whole film behind it not making any noise I can see why bro mighta just stopped doing music afterwards
This was a very great album.
better than GNX? lol
Yup, his rapping is much better on Damn, from the flows, cadence, lyrics.
Just a better album imo, always rated it fairly higher than most.
It's been a bunch of creative hip-hop albums that have overarching themes/concepts throughout the project since 2015.
S*** these are just quick examples, some of these artists have released other creative projects outside of these

Big Fish Theory >
That Danger mouse album is heat though.
I was just thinking that the golden age of hip hop was basically the 11 year window between 87 and 97 from paid in full to life after death... every era that came after was increasingly shaped by fewer unique mcs and actual trendsetters

This was a very great album.
It didn't make noise among the people who make threads like this unfortunately. But I'd say it made enough noise to the film community because it premiered at Sundance and won an award.

Another album that proves my overall point.
