Very passionate but your words hold no weight and no backing behind them. Like I said unless you can show me otherwise

Can you show me otherwise that trump won't do the same? after all, he's openly mused about delaying the elections, raised a bullshit conspiracy of mail in voting fraud (to cast doubt on the legitimacy) and in 2016 mentioned how he might not accept the results.

For one, the democrats have to pretend as though they have some sort of moral high ground on republicans. their civility and respect for procedures and rule of law is the only true contrast they can draw with republicans. So, no they aren't going to create a constitutional crisis because it loses them that moral high ground, because they don't oppose trump on any grounds other than the fact he's a bumbling idiot who doesn't respect civility politics.

Fair point on that. I can agree there that it would definitely hurt the public image of them as far as what they want to be seen as.

He definitely has said that, I believe this is election will be challenged either way it goes no doubt about that. But we don’t have anything from Trump suggesting succession or anything Pelosi has said.

he needs to be picking by state by state strategy to win key swing states, not be aiming for a popular vote. kamala does not help in any key state and in fact is actively detrimental to many of them

There's been some research that shows that picking a VP to win their home state only affects the vote in that state by like a point or two at most (if at all) and has no affect on neighboring states.

That being said I agree that her overall fit is not great for courting moderate/independent voters. However, same time I'm not sure that Whitmer would've been worth going for either (Trump would've been able to do his regular shtick with her handling of Corona), and as for Masto & Grisham (like you suggested earlier) I think they're too boring and zero name rec. I don't think they would have convinced anyone to vote for Biden... basically just a generic female with Hispanic heritage.

I think that by the time things start heating up at the end of September people will have forgotten about their feelings towards this pick and be mainly focused on Biden again. I doubt Harris will have a larger than normal role campaigning for Joe

Kanye is the only logical candidate to choose from. Its not splitting the vote if everyone is on the same page.

I’m definitely just more cynical when it comes to politicians and general reactions to them. I feel like a generic no name candidate whose worst case scenario was negligible effect would have been better than someone with a history like her. She was easily my least favorite in general among nom candidates next to Buttigieg though so I’m biased as well. I just don’t think him picking her was strategically a good move for his wider campaign.

Kamala fkn blows my god. delusional people on the right equating her to the Democratic party "signaling" to their voters that they are going "far left" might be the best part of it all though.

Little do they know the Biden and his team likely went with her because she can appeal to those centrists who actually lean more towards conservative but don't actually want to vote for Trump.

Yeah she's a snake, but to be fair, at this point in her career she probably wants a cabinet role more than VP. And she may still get one

Kamala isn’t even a centrist. The GOP is literally framing her as a radical leftist. She’s left of 90%+ of congressional Dems.
