wealth is net worth. tax the ultra rich of society's net worth and use the revenue to fund public works projects and infrastructure that improves everyones lives and creates high paying jobs. you could also use it to fund cheaper higher education, or childcare programs.

minimum wages have risen dramatically in the past 5 years and will continue to do so in the near future because big corporations look like s*** and will lose employees if they don't keep one-upping each other on minimum wage raises in the face of activism. when Walmart amazon and McDonalds one-up each other to satisfy angry millennials, every other company has to stay in line or else they'll lose workers. this obviously only works with low unemployment but unemployment has been low for years and there is no indication that that will change.

when mid-level employees have the authority to veto dividends and stock buybacks (I would simply make them illegal), corporations will then be forced to either sit on cash or (at the prompting of their new mid-level board members) be forced to reinvest in the company aka raise middle class wages.
