Billionaires running only helps Bernie, no?

None of his voters going to them. Maybe if they focus on swaying public opinion but no one taking these guys seriously.

In practice yes but bro 30 million in ads is huge. That’s more thn wht all the other campaigns hv in cash except bernies

It’s not about stealing bernies people but rather stealing undecideds,

    Americand are very easily swayed

Trump will win just off the split between Bernie and Warren, there's no way America will vote for a female President.

His ideas aren't universal or really fresh tho and a lot of his plans are superfluous not to mention complete trash on foreign policy

But yes i like the guy whos consistent, has universal plans and is actually building a movement

He would be 86 after a 2nd term and how is he paying for mfa? I also like my private insurance which is a flaw of mfa if there’s no option to keep your current plan rather than be forced into a new one.

Youre repeating republican talking points. M4A does not push anyone off their private health care plan. You literally get more benefits than you currently get, you don't get a bill, have no copayment or deductible or premiums, prescription d*** prices will go way down.

You like your doctors and nurses, not your plan. Unless you like dealing with the insurance companies. With M4A you can literally go to any doctor you want, any time.

Mfa has a variety of ways it can be payed for. A progressive tax rate, a payroll tax etc.,

We already spend more than what medicare 4 all is projected to cost on our current health care system.

I agree mostly. I would be okay with the idea of it but I would like the option to continue to have my private insurance and not incur the additional tax, that’s really it.

Now, I think this would work much better but no candidate has ever done it. Wouldn’t you rather live in a world with free college and free health care that’s paid for by a higher sales tax, lowering social security, removing welfare, removing food stamps, removing ebt, etc? Because I think if you enrich people with options like free higher education you have a much better and more intelligent society that does not need those handouts. That’s basically what Yang is pushing but not as radical. The money saved by removing those handouts would be more than enough to pay for those benefits. And anybody who doesn’t take advantage of those and can’t make a living well..survival of the fittest

Can you explain to me why you need your private insurance? you're already paying a tax every month in premiums, and unless youre obscenely wealthy, the tax burden you incur under M4A is going to be less than what you're currently paying.

And Yang is not offering us free health care. You realize that right? If you're paying a higher sales tax, then you are incurring a cost to pay for something.

Free higher education = Sanders plan, along with being the only candidate who is calling for the cancellation of all student debt.

And no, the f***? I 100% am not in favor of gutting a social safety net that literally lifts tons of people out of poverty and allows them to do the basic thing of you know, living. You realize if you remove benefits, UBI will literally be almost exclusively used by poor people to pay for those old benefits?

If you get 1k a month, but you have to give up 600-700 in benefits to get it, you are only really getting 300 a month. Sure, that's a good thing, but who benefits more? the rich person who's already not getting government assistance and therefore gets 1k a month no questions asked, or the person who has to spend some of that 1k to make up for the loss of benefits

Not to mention, Yang isn't for cancelling student debt, isn't for cancelling medical debt, nor is he for M4A. If you are for keeping private insurance and claim to be for M4A, you are essentially pushing a public option which is destined to fail.

So take that survival of the fittest nonsense elsewhere.

If you are okay with cancelling student debt are you also okay with crediting back everybody who has paid for their student loans like me who paid 20k of my own money to clear my student loans? What about the people who worked to pay them off? With ubi the person who gets it gets to control what they do with it. Maybe they invest it and get some profit or maybe they spend it on d**** and stay away from society. I support free college but i do believe they should also remove other handouts in that case cuz if you don’t take advantage of something like that that’s free, you don’t deserve anything.

I would be okay with that, but it's not in anyones plans. So are you telling me you're fine with others incurring massive burdens of debt simply because you and others did? That's a selfish ass mentality

And tell me how thats practically true? If you get 300$ a month in food stamps (the average is 127, but its much more than that for families with children) and 447$ a month from tanf (this is the average for a 3 person family) cutting those programs doesn't magically grant you 1000k a month. You are still going to need to spend money on housing and food. So you really just have 250$ extra a month. Which helps, sure, but the program really just further lines the pockets of the people who have enough money to not need benefits. Poor people are not going to be investing this, because they need it to live.

And you're operating in a world where everyone is some 18 year old kid getting ready to go off to college. What about our parents, or people our age who maybe didn't go to college because they had to work or couldn't deal with the burden of massive debt? Just take away their handouts because hey, UBI.

It’s all very complicated that’s why big blanket statements like everybody is making don’t really help. I think we should look more into the colleges that have free reign to charge whatever they want without penalty first rather than going full onto free college. But I think you and I fundamentally agree, we both want healthcare to be a basic right and we both hate trump. I just want handouts to be regulated cuz if you give too many handouts then hard work goes away.

There is no evidence that handouts make people work less hard. And we can't fundamentally agree if you aren't for M4A, the elimination of private insurance, free college, cancellation of student and medical debt etc.,

I’m pretty sure yang said UBI won’t override other social benefits or surplus them

Aka if you receive $1700 in welfare, you won’t be eligible for the $1000 UBI but you’ll continue receiving your normal welfare checks

If you make $700 in welfare, you only receive $300 of the $1000 UBI

Explain it to me. Why does private insurance need to be a thing

It seems to be like your dumbass lacks reading comprehension. I'm not saying under our current system that you don't need private insurance. I'm saying hypothetically, why do we need private insurance?
