It’s not a spin when though when they both drop out and endorse Biden. Pete literally said he doesn’t want to be the only reason Bernie has an unsurmountable lead.

Bloomberg is too rich and his ego is too big to be swayed by the democratic establishment though. We have two “moderates” and two “progressives” in the race now. Of course Bloomberg taking Biden votes is a positive.

They were clearly always going to endorse the non-Bernie candidate.

That isn’t indication that they are fighting against Bernie...

It’s an indication that they’re supporting everything that they always have supported.

idk i read some excerpt that said Obama basically asked Pete to step down in not so many words and, you right, endorse who’d he would end up endorsing anyway

i don’t think this is some illuminati type conspiracy where everyone was invited around a round table on some League of Villains s***, but i think there’s definitely a larger scheme facilitated by whispers and unspoken actions that for all intents and purposes, can be boiled down to just the DNC as a whole

The democrat establishment is shooting itself in the foot with this Push for Biden. It looks completely asinine and ridiculous, to the average voter this is going to push them towards Bernie.

Everyone telling Democrats to make the safe pick is actually making it way way worse for Biden

Average person doesn’t like to be told what to do and they don’t like that Bernie won a bunch of states and the response wasn’t that Bernie was on fire, in fact no positive press emerged, but then when Biden wins one small state it’s like “HOLY S***!!! THIS IS WHAT HE NEEDED” it makes the media look fake as f*** and it’s pissing off the average American

Americans want Bernie and the media saying “oh well Biden has a chance” is just going to piss off voters. Biden doesn’t stand a chance and the media faking that idea is making them look like Fox News for Dems

The corporate media types feeding gymnastics to the dumb people only for their agenda, voting for Biden or Bloomberg is the most headass thing a non billionaire could do

I really think coronavirus will f*** trump in the general. I don’t think another president would have made the necessary decisions to prevent it from entering the country en masse in the last two months— which it has been— but the facts are that he’s not only the president who has to deal with it but is obviously more concerned about GDP and the stock market and the narrative is already set that he called coronavirus “a hoax.” All this will be hammered incessantly in the media as his boomer base gets hit the hardest by it, over one in ten who get the disease probably dying. That same media, of course, was too busy calling people who were worried about it xenophobes during the period we could have taken proactive measures, but no one ever checks them— except trump, who this time will have no room to talk. It remains to be seen if the Democrats can capitalize on this, though, when their standard bearer Immortan Joe biden is still of the mind that outsourcing everything to China was a great idea

“Buttigieg unwilling to be reason Sanders is able to get “insurmountable” delegate lead on Super Tuesday”

How is that not fighting against Bernie? No candidate has ever dropped out before Super Tuesday after starting the race with 2 top 2 finishes. Are you trolling?

I feel you. I also think I mostly agree with you on policy and supporting Bernie.

I just think a lot of what people are trying to construe as conspiracy against Bernie is a lot of bullshit that happens a lot and is easily more describable by common sense and routine.

i’ll say this. i think, at least at this point since bernie still has a clean shot of winning, it is not tactically sound to be 100% spouting how corrupt and failed of an institution democrats and the DNC is, at least not to “average” voters.

average voters are democrats and republicans, like it or not. these are people that think Obama and comparatively like Reagan, or something, are gods, have voted party lines for decades, watch cable news.

bernie has acknowledged that the only current way to win the presidency is by siding with either party. he was Independent for a reason, but he’s not foolhardy enough to think all of this could have been done without winning over “traditional” democrats, in some capacity.

if he wins the presidency hopefully a lot of these things can go unspoken - a progressive wave will hopefully overtake the dying party and revitalize it while some of these older voters inevitably trickle off. if he loses ? by all means, call a spade a spade and say s*** how it really is, pointing at each and everything. who gives af at that point, at least for 4 years (likely far more)

idk, we’ve acknowledged we gotta play the game at this point so might as well really make a fool of it all, and win it that way, then do it early and possibly gimp the chance by turning off voters you may not necessarily like, but sadly need

  • ktt? that’s one thing, not to be elitist but we all generally informed and despite differences in opinions, basically see s*** for how it is (except a few weirdos) so saying the s*** here and just b****ing about stuff that, admittedly, warrants it, is one thing. but there’s a reason bernie ain’t going 100% in on s*** like that at the moment, and it makes sense why

EXACTLY, all the people saying “Bernie should start lashing out at the democrats for mistreating him” are misrepresenting the fact that most people who vote in these primaries still have a dumb loyalty to a party. By attacking the dnc he would be alienating people who otherwise would have voted for him

  • need all the 18-25yr olds to go vote

this “blue no matter who” vow should just tell you everything you need to know about the current climate in the democrat party which, unfortunately, you have to play to at the moment, but i just felt like expounding upon it rq.

like we all be s***ting on “dumb” voters here across the board but if we REALLY acknowledging how things are, you need some of those people

(and just as a cheeky aside, as bernie supporters, you should be for things like prison = reform, as opposed to felons just being perpetual lost causes or just people that had the deck stacked against them. if that’s the case, we shouldn’t look at “dumb” voters as people we can’t wait to die off, but rather people we can hopefully “rehabilitate” to a different viewpoint/actions through productive means )

LOL you think the establishment has any genuine beliefs? Bro what elitist bubble do you live in?

Bernie is a systemic threat to their money and power, thats all they care about. Several superdelegates said they’d prefer Trump over Bernie.
Trump wont call out the lobbyist system at all, the only reason the establishment pretends not to like him is because he says mean things to them.

Wanna know how the elitist dems really feel about republicans? Just look at Ellen cozying up to anti gay George Bush
