Streaming has completely ruined the consumption of music. This is why I don't have a single streaming service, I download everything I listen to
Curse of choice and overconsumption. Back in the day someone might buy five albums in an entire year, and outside of radio that's all they would listen to. If you bought Graduation it was probably staying in your car's CD player for at least three months.
Streaming has made us glutinous
DaBaby didn’t go as hard as he could this year
He went a little too hard apparently.
too many of these new rappers i've seen posted here are just getting carried by beats
i'm almost certain you could take any poster here that can flow decently well and slap some autotune on them and it'd be as good as this ken carson or yeat or whoever else s***
Ken Carson sure
Not everyone can do what Yeat does
Griselda are ass. They make the same derivative garbage as lil baby and durk except with dust beats
I can't be bothered to keep up with the latest rap anymore. I don't listen to DaBaby, Lil Baby, Jack Harlow etc. I've been out since around that Lil Pump/XXX era I honestly can't sit through an entire project of what these new niggas are making
Yes, I'm dusty
Dusty? Lil Pump/XXX was only 3-4 years ago, not much has changed since then you newbie

lol
Drake had a better album than Donda, how about that? Is that hot enough for you turkeys?
“Rap” listeners and artists right now who didn’t grow up listening to rap are trying to force the genre to mirror what they grew up listening to instead (nu metal, emo, screamo, etc.). It’s unhealthy and overall bad for rap.
What does one call this forced fetishization of sound-hopping? Genrefication?

I'm saying even then, I wasn't keeping up 2015-2016 was when I stopped caring, just before they blew up
