Bro go do your homework today was the first day of school and I know your ass is in 8th grade
Can't believe you listed ministry and alice in chains like any of those are good bands
A lot of old heads in here lol. Everyone is gonna say their teen years were the best time for music cuz u had more time to enjoy it instead of focusing on working/school
There is no 2000s r&b that is touching Blonde or House of Balloons @El_Senor
Forget Nirvana there's still way better s*** from the 90s
The bends and ok computer alone clear nirvanas output
2000s era Radiohead was better than 90s era Radiohead too so what's your point

To be fair Radiohead's been on point since 1995
yah im convinced 90% of these posts are really more about the time period where the person was happiest & its easier to have nostalgia about music rather than admit their life/memories peaked
Facts, some people don’t want to admit it but a lotta the time, the music/art that people hold most fondly and dearly is just nostalgia related

Red Hot Chili Peppers is good
I like that Green Day album
It's just the cool thing to say that 90s was some peak rock era
It was not that great
People usually just gonna say whenever they were in high school but tbh it has a strong argument for having peaked 2000-2012
That bullshit nu metal y'all jerk off to wouldn't exist without Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, and Ministry, all of whom got their start in the 80s and 90s

Deftones dropped White Pony in 2000 which is often looked at as their best album
2000s Rock
It just depends on the genres you like.
For me, 2016 was the best year of the 2010s and 2012 was great too. In general, I would agree that 2010-2016 was an exciting time for music and it has tailed off a bit since, but I loved 2022 so I'm not despairing or anything.
Deftones dropped White Pony in 2000 which is often looked at as their best album
2000s Rock
2000 is part of the 20th century
And either way NIN and Ministry dropped their best s*** in the 90s

The fact that JT's FS/LS, Nelly Furtado's Loose, Fergie's The Dutchess, Beyoncé's B'Day, Christina Aguilera's Back to Basics, John Mayer's Continuum, Amy Winehouse's Back To Black all dropped one after another from June to October in 2006.

Corinne Bailey Rae's first album dropped in '06 too
