Kelela album disappointed me so much. Glad people like it though

Yeah I get why she had to find a different lane. Feels like people are just catching up to Take Me Apart with the dance music pop stuff. New stuff just a little too low energy. Doesn't always click for me.

Need to give it another listen but it didn't set a good first impression. Feels like Caprisongs last year, everyone seems to love it but I find it disappointing compared to the artist's earlier work

I'll be honest, I really don't know. There was a great batch of albums out this week (Jessie Ware, Indigo De Souza, Susanne Sundfor) that I want to spend more time with. Scaring the Hoes was really good but I'm not sure if it's my AOTY.
