too poppish and wasn't as grimey. 50 couldn't make a good pop album and after 04, everything changed in rap. You could see the shift more towards soulful production and southern rap influence. It's why while 05 50 had a big year, it wasn't memorable due to the album being mediocre in comparison to grodt.

TM101 had a larger impact on rap.

Kanye wayne and t.i. all delivered poppy rap albums from 07-08 and all were better received than the massacre
