There’s no way they really thought that Beau Is Afraid was going be a box office success
That film was a passion project, and was the least accessible film released in theaters this year
I mean, it makes sense? It was bound to happen eventually.
I’d rather them do commercial films and a few more “traditional” A24 films than for them to go bankrupt for failing to adapt.
i really don’t think this is as big of a deal as people are making it lol
they’re already doing franchises with the X trilogy, Talk to Me, etc…. is that not IP at this point
I saw Beau and my brain wiped it from my memory, same with Inland Empire. Likely a trauma response

Not even the trilogy aspect, ppl more so just don’t want the quality of films to diminish for producing popcorn blockbusters for a quick buck
Matter fact why don’t KTT just start up the new A24…”KTT FILMS” what y’all waiting for? I’ll be your first signed artist
Idk why people assume I’ve seen hereditary and midsomar but I’ve never seen them till now.

In a nutshell, they don’t want A24 to turn into Netflix
A24 became film bro’s or Letterboxd’s cash cow and now a sterilized dream machine. It’s all a plan.
Best film production studio by quite a few miles. The only studio really giving fresh ideas a chance anymore.
Hereditary
Lighthouse
Everything Everywhere
My personal top 3
