So like many of you, I originally bought tickets to Abel's After Hours Tour back when he first dropped them in early 2020. Unfortunately today he said he is now doing a stadium tour instead to combine The Dawn and AH which means all of us who have held onto tickets for 1-3 YEARS are screwed. I had third row seats and spent over half a grand on them. Lately a lot of horrible things have happened in my life and so I was really looking forward to this. Now to know I not only have to wait till 2022, but that the tickets I bought will probably be 4 times as expensive is devastating.

It's also frustrating Abel hasn't apologized or even tried to empathize with those of us who already bought tickets. And while covid is an issue, plenty of artists have still had tours and concerts since and I'm talking huge artists like Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish. This makes me think that this is more of a cash grab than anything else, just like the vinyl bullshit, NFT crap, high-priced but poor quality merch, etc.

Abel is my favorite artist and maybe I just come off like a Karen here, but this is really disappointing and devastating. I had my red suit outfit already bought for the show and was looking forward to it in order to have a positive in my life. I don't mean to come here simply to b****, but I've been XO since 2012 and tbh, over the last year or so, I've just felt more and more like often XO is nothing more than an after-thought to Abel. And sure, maybe I'm just in my feelings about this, but now so many people who can't afford $2,000+ to go to a show are just totally out of luck. Hell, some of us already bought our plane tickets for Abel's AH Tour next year!

I see a lot of you hyped about the Tour and ofc I still want to see Abel perform, but the way all of this has been handled feels shady, disorganized, and reckless.

Oh and the fact we'll have waited over 2-3+ years for this tour on top of everything else is also just pure insanity

Same here unfortunately. Hope he realises his mistake soon. Very disappointed in this. He seems to forget the fans that made him big in favour of the new After Hours era fans he has gained over the last few years.

Tbh it doesn’t even make sense not to transfer the tickets. Hella people probably lowkey lost interest after all these delays but were gonna go because it’s not refundable. Also many people gonna miss out on the seats they want and say f it.

He prefers doing a stadium tour with more people (the extra ppl that heard Blinding Lights and the other hits of AH) with new tickets (which are likely gonna be more expensive) than just transfer over tickets that fans already bought 2 years ago. A lot of fans have bought tickets from third parties at very high prices, which are probably not gonna get refunded nor will have priority in the next ticket sale.

He "prefers" doing stadiums because the demand is higher and more people are in need of tickets.

Everyone who bought tickets will get refunded and will get priority to buy tickets for the stadiums

I mean if you’re changing venues how exactly are you going to transfer those tickets over? You can’t really do that since the seating arrangements are not the same.

Then there’s the issue of venues that don’t change, do you transfer those tickets over and refund the changed venues so they can buy again? That would just garner more outrage than this.

So to make it fair they refund everyone’s tickets and we all try again.

Although, he probably should have just rocked with the arenas for this tour and shoot for the stadiums next time around, but I can understand why he would want to capitalize on his peak now and do a stadium run before he could possibly fizzle out.

It's just frustrating he seems to have little to no empathy for doing this to XO who have already bought flights and tickets to see the tour that was supposed to happen next year after we'd already been waiting. Many artists literally will cry to fans if they have to cancel, meanwhile Abel does it without a second thought. And it sucks for those of us who can't afford the same seats in an arena that we had for what was supposed to be the AH Tour. Just really disappointing all the way around.

Abel has canceled the AH Tour for next year and instead will be doing a combined tour for The Dawn and AH Tour in 2022. You'll get refunded but likely won't be able to get the same seats, especially not for the price you paid.

Ticketholders are also getting priority purchase, in case you missed that.

Priority means nothing when your same seat costs at least 4 times more. Many of us can't afford $2,500 for the seat we had for the AH Tour.

I've been to arena tours before. Also my seat was already $600 so with less shows, more hype and now more ppl buying tickets, as well as the laws of supply and demand mean ticket prices will increase.
