Bro I’m so f***ing sorry to hear that 😢 my boy had 110k and he got out of college paying less then mine and I don’t even go. College is the biggest mistake adults push onto children and teens

Deadass bro. I’m super grateful for what I did learn there, but it 100000000% was not worth $40,000 smfh

in the meantime we need universal pre-k and to abolish ap/push advanced kids towards concurrent enrollment. ap courses (1) arent available at every school and when they are an option its generally at wealthier districts and (2) are dumb bc they just teach to the test.

the sat/act also needs to be preserved (for now) even though it advantages kids from better socioeconomic backgrounds. taking it away advantages these kids even more, as focus is put on gpa and "resume" when not only do they generally have more time to add on extracurriculars, their districts tend to practice grade inflation. at least with the sat/act, everyone is taking the same test.

i don't disagree with you that we need a complete overhaul, i'm just saying that these are some things that can be done quicker. probably the wrong thread to post something like that since the focus of my post was on small reforms over big systematic change idk
